Such a nice comfort series. It's always good to slip back into the world of Precious Ramotswe and watch the characters moving on with their lives yet still being in many ways the same. One of the things I love in here is that the characters and their relationships are always growing like you'd expect with real people, rather than staying stagnant and the expected like too many long-running series.

The mysteries presented in here have Mma Ramotswe and Mma Makutsi both juggling questions of morality. Despite Mma Makutsi being on maternity leave for a big portion of this, the two find plenty of time to work together, and by the end their relationship is really showing a lot of growth. Loved this!

I loved this sweet, sentimental story! A relaxing read for this hot, rainy day.

I dragged out the reading of this book because I didn't want my visit with Mma Ramatswe and company to be over too soon. Alexander McCall Smith has a rare gift of writing his characters so they feel like my friends and companions. I hope he keeps writing these because I look forward to a good chat with a virtual cup of red bush tea and a slice of Mma Potokwane's fruit cake (now with more sultanas!).

This series still has the power to touch my heart, surprise me, and make me laugh out loud. I am always left with the feeling that even though there are evil people in the world, life is still good, and joy is available to those who are ready to receive it.

In this installment, Mma Ramatswe investigates a case of possible false identity and a slander campain against Mma Soleti, owner of the Minor Adjustment Beauty Salon. Meanwhile big changes are in store for the recently married Mma Makutsi that could mean some minor adjustment for her employer. Mr. J.L.B. Matekoni considers becoming a more modern husband, and Charlie, his longtime apprentice, may have finally met his match.

I love this series, especially the reader for the audiobooks. Another quiet mystery with touches of humor and human nature. And Charlie finally shows signs of growing up!

I've read the entire series and always enjoy the books. This one was just a continuation of the story.
