Fast airplane read…human sex trafficking ring, shady government officials…a very pregnant Rizzoli and ME Isles work to get to the bottom of it. Found some of the characters, particularly the journalist, to be not believable and some of the dialogue around rizzoli being a new mother felt flat. But overall I liked it especially for an airplane book.

Sometimes, someone who vanishes lives on in her friend's hearts years later. A good story, but I wish some of the characters would have finished as it was unclear who some of the law enforcement personnel were.
New mother in danger - now there's a new plot line!

Just as with her other books, Vanish by Tess Gerritsen was a fast paced, interesting read. I thought the back story in this book was troubling, but interesting. Human trafficking is very puzzling to me because I don't understand how anyone gets to the point where they are inhumane enough to be willing to do it. And, it makes me sad to think of the possibility of it actually existing in the United States.

I got about 2-3 chapters in and was a little bored; just not in the mood for it. Will try again some other time perhaps.

Not realizing that this was a series...I was easily able to jump into this book and didn't feel like I had missed too much of the background. Didn't realize this was a TV series as well...overall a good read, quick and easy.
