I listened to the audiobook. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Although the title was "literal" (as another review put it) and the main character did babble on and on. I felt at certain points were very predictable, but I listened to it on vacation and it was great to keep my mind off of everyday life!
I was looking for something light and fun, and this was perfect. Adorable main character, silly story, happy ending. A cotton candy read.

1 Okay, I hate everything in this book. Especially the main character. I you think you will be disappointed and still decide to read the book like me trust me you will be more disappointed than you could have everrr imagined. This was so bad I would prefer to read a nonfiction book over this. I have no idea how and why I finished it. The plot was so dead and boring. The only reason it gets 1 is because there was 1 scene collectively in the entire book that was okay.
Read this on a train trip between Michigan and Chicago and oh, it is bad.
Complete junk, but I need a book like this from time to time.
I am a fan of lots of chick lit - but this book and the Lizzie Nichols character - mostly had me annoyed. How could a girl from an academic family go through four years of college and be so clueless. I really had a hard time buying that she didn't know about writing a thesis. I can see being clueless about guys or other things - as she was - but not that. And the thesis bits before each chapter were just too silly. Lizzie did grow on my after awhile, once she tried to redeem herself, but I think she was mostly just a dumbed down version of Rebecca Bloomwood from Shopaholic. Her love interest even has the same name!
I guess I should be grateful that Lizzie wasn't as annoying of a character as I expected her to be. The interesting "stream of consciousness" style that Meg Cabot used for her could have completely broken me and this book for everyone. As it was, I got used to it about a third of the way in. It was certainly entertaining, but I don't think anyone wants to have that much of a glimpse into anybody else's head. It was a a quick read, and I normally love Meg Cabot, but I think I'm going to have to stick to her young adult fiction instead. I think I just expected much more from this than I should have. The ending resolved in a completely ridiculous, but somewhat true to life fashion, as if it was just getting to long. But if you just want a beach or plane read, this is for you.
This book is clearly chick lit, and as such predictable, but for light reading this is great. Perfect for a book to have with you on a train or bus or plane or such, too!
