This book is atrocious, but I'm determined to finish it just to mark Q off my list for 2010.

Definitely predictable but still a fun mindless read.
Normally I can’t do awkward, so I knew that relating to the protagonist would be a struggle. While too fast-paced to make you believe in their love, the characters’ relationship is cute and charming.
Lizzie Nichols is nice. Painfully so...Thankfully, (nearly at my breaking point) Cabot gives readers a reprieve and Lizzie blossoms into a spunky and vivacious girl ready to kick some ass. Or maybe just revamp some vintage clothing.

I thought this was a pretty good "fluff" read. Yeah, it's sort of silly and predictable but I still found myself rooting for love and enjoyed it all the same.
Une lecture exaspérante, fantaisiste, indulgente a l’image de son héroïne, Lizzie Nichols, une poucave au grand cœur (faussement modeste et mondaine) qui cherche l’Amour à travers l’Europe.
Si vous aimez l’humour lourd bien saillant, les ribambelles de quiproquos qui ne sauraient séduire que les moins regardants en matière de cohérence, les idylles amoureuses manichéennes sans grande envergure , les références pop à tout bout de champ, les personnages simplets au possible MAIS SURTOUT, si vous avez besoin d’un break bien mérité de tous ces romans merveilleusement bien écrits, profonds et denses à souhait, alors voilà ce qui vous faut. Ni plus, ni moins. Et perso, ça me convient très bien, le temps d’une lecture.

This was a short, cute read. Not one of the best books I've ever read, but I enjoyed it, and it was perfect for summer. Probably more appropriate for more mature young-adult and adult readers, not necessarily pre-teens.
I read this book a few years ago, but remember that the character flaw of the main character really annoyed me (her inability to not say stuff/keep secrets). Will probably read again sometime this summer though and re-evaluate.
