I read this whole series twice in the last year. This and "The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie" are my two favorite books in this series. In this book I love Isabella's fiercely independent nature. Mack's character flaws are shown at the beginning and his growth as a husband throughout the book is apparent.

The title of this book should be Groveling: a MacKenzie novel. Now that’s what I call a marriage reconciliation baby!!!!! The drama! The feelings! Them having to face each other, and themselves, to grow back together!!
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again “I love you but” will always be famous!!!

Y'all I was here for the second chance romance with Scottish Highlander and Sassenach. I loved them in Ian's book and enjoyed them in this one.

Couldn't get into this book at all. Tried and failed.

Damn, my review disappeared. Anyways, the gist of it was that it wasn't as good as the first, but still enjoyable. I really like the writing style and the main characters (despite their faults) but the sub plot felt very wishy-washy and kind of unbelievable. The highlight was definitely seeing Ian and Beth again!

I REALLY wanted to love this book. I thoroughly enjoy romances with this plot line. They are married, and they are separated for whatever reason, and now they are working through some kind of reconciliation. For whatever reason though, this one just didnt sit well with me. I should probably have stopped reading when there was cream involved. Food on genitals just doesnt really do it for me.

So - I don’t think I’ve ever given a one -star review. I feel bad but again, this is my opinion- others may love this book!
I adored The Madness of Lord Ian Ian MacKenzie. It was beautiful with leading and secondary characters so enjoyable. I was excited to read this one about Mac and Isabelle.
Well it was just too boring. I forced my self to read it because I wanted to keep the right order of reading about the family.
I am not a big second chances reset either . The mystery of a look-alike Mac could have been developed more - that storyline was just blah. The love story did not grab me.
I enjoyed when Ian appeared hit that was about it.
I looking forward though to Cam’s story!

This was such a great addition to the series. Even when Mac wasn't at his best, his love for Isabella never wavered, and Isabella was a fantastic heroine. Again, there isn't any more I can add that hasn't already been said about this series.
