I found this title in my class textbook and checked it out since it sounded adorable. This is definitely meant to work as an ABC book--although I think it falls short--and I am still trying to figure out if I dislike it to the point of wanting to weed it away. Some of the letters are confusing. "Rub-a-dub" is for 'd.' "I and J jump on the bed," but 'i'--unlike most of the letters, does not have it's own matching word, unless "I" is like me...if that makes sense. Young kids probably would not understand this. While cute and funny, I find the letters rather creepy. They have these oddly shaped teeth. I do appreciate that the title is mildly entertaining for pre-schoolers as some of those letters just do not want to go to sleep.

You can always tell the quality of an alphabet book by what they have for letters Q and X. This one was so cute, and each page also rhymed. Very good book to share with a beginning reader.

I love the illustrations which are more than simple images of the letters but not overly cluttered either. It's a clever but simple story. I'd love to see more stories from Alphabet Town.

This a good alphabet book, the rhymes are reminiscent of [b:Chicka Chicka Boom Boom|293595|Chicka Chicka Boom Boom|Bill Martin Jr.|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1348384871s/293595.jpg|680304] and the pictures are fun and cute, full of interesting details. The last page spread in particular is a great one to study and talk about, each of the little letters goes to bed with a favorite object ...

Best ABC book we've read since Chicka Chicka Boom Boom - to which book it invites comparison, because of the rhyme scheme and the personification of the letters as children. But not boring like I just made it sound!

Reminiscent of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Judy Sierra and Melissa Sweet show us what bedtime is like in Alphabet Town. And who's that snoring Z Z Z's? See you in the morning, abcs!

i love this story! my grandaughter loves looking for the "mommy/daddy" and "baby" letters, and we look for the little letters' namesake toys together. we got it from the library, but i may have to buy it!
