The Sleepy Little Alphabet: A Bedtime Story from Alphabet Town by Judy Sierra
2.0
I found this title in my class textbook and checked it out since it sounded adorable. This is definitely meant to work as an ABC book--although I think it falls short--and I am still trying to figure out if I dislike it to the point of wanting to weed it away. Some of the letters are confusing. "Rub-a-dub" is for 'd.' "I and J jump on the bed," but 'i'--unlike most of the letters, does not have it's own matching word, unless "I" is like me...if that makes sense. Young kids probably would not understand this. While cute and funny, I find the letters rather creepy. They have these oddly shaped teeth. I do appreciate that the title is mildly entertaining for pre-schoolers as some of those letters just do not want to go to sleep.
