I liked it. I love a good graphic novel, personally. They’re so much fun to read. I love visual stories. That’s probably why I enjoy chapters so much.

Anyway, I really liked this story. It felt very similar to Coven, a book that I read I wanna say a couple weeks ago? I enjoyed that, and it was similar to this but they were both really good and I really liked them.

I loved how this is a ripoff of Harry Potter because I really want to read more Harry Potter. But that means the story struggles to stand on its own two feet and establish a sense of authority. That’s the problem with ripoffs like this; they’re fun in theory but can’t commit to the bit because otherwise they’d be plagiarism.

The art was good, but I felt the scenery could have been richer and more detailed?

It’s also tough to put a fantasy adventure into a graphic novel because you have to glaze through the plot quickly in this medium, so the fantasy ends up feeling under-explored.

On top of all that, the story here isn’t super gripping, and the writing is mid.

I loved the representation, though, and I’d be curious about a sequel.

I didn't love the story but the art and the general feel made this book one I couldn't put down. I just felt like it was HP in a different context. I'd love to dive deeper into this world though.

Beautiful drawings- everyone looks unique and a wide range of ethnicities even though this world sees being a witch is one thing and mortal another. I also like how the ending tied up nicely. A book for those who like witches, spells, friendship and found family. My only thing is
why did Ms Paxton/Lilith Younwity give Abby a “healing” pouch with lilies of the valley? Was she trying to get her to find Noreen and eventually Karla?

THIS is fall. I thought this was so fun and loved the familiars. The whole time I just wanted it to turn into a full length novel; I miss a little wizardry school so bad.

Not a full 5 stars because the end of the plot felt a like a let down. For how much happened at the beginning you would think there would be more. In my opinion, it could have done with an extra 100 pages to flesh it out more.

Seymour though that’s my man I fear.
