Repetitive and never got straight to the point. I made it to 47% and it is just a repeat of "my bonded hate me but it was to protect them" with no proper build

I’ve been looking for another book that I couldn’t put down. I saw this recommended in a book group and I’m so glad I started it. I read this so quickly and immediately downloaded the second book. This style of writing is exactly what I love.

Easy book to read, can be done with this nonsense in hours. But MAN this book is dumb as hell. It isn’t the worst book I’ve read but it’s bad. The writing is something like that of a middle schooler. Plot? Never heard of her. I guess I’ll just Google a few things because I genuinely do not see the point of reading the rest of this series to figure out the answer to questions I have.  Zero character descriptions or world building. I’m honestly trying to figure out what I read… just… filler? I dunno… a lot of accounts of this girl’s day that were all somewhat similar and she’s fighting with all 5 of her boyfriends and all the girls are hotter than her… that’s basically the book. Oh but nerd alert dreams come true at the end when the meek show their power!!! Ugh, give me a break.

You’ll want to finish the book once you start just because it really is so easy to get through that you may as well get the credit for a books-read challenge, but don’t even start reading this. Literally 8/10 books are probably better than this.

EDIT: Eh, shoot… I’m reading the second book so clearly this left enough of an impression for me to come back even after web searching to figure out what happens in the other books and the big reveals in the final books and what have you. Go figure… increased rating by a quarter of a point since I came back. As soon as I’m in the mood for another genre, I’m audi 5000

Vulgarity is no substitute for wit. This was painful and obnoxious and childish. Worst thing is it’s actually a YA book sneakily marketed as an 18+ RH. I yeeted myself right on outta there.
