Elin will be a 5 star read for me most of the time for a summer book, this did not disappoint.

Loved the relationships of the three (four) couples in the novel. Another wonderful summer read from Ms. Hilderbrand!

Light reading, unfortunately really similar to her other books, but still entertaining. I like that the narrative switches between very different characters.

I think I liked this more than a lot of other Goodreads reviewers, but I'm a sucker for Elin and my heart went out to these messy grieving characters

This is the quintessential summer read. Set on Nantucket, it's got plenty of recognizable local places. It's also got interesting characters who are friends and also flawed and maybe a little over-the-top. There's an intriguing mystery, which also provides plenty of drama and heartbreak. And the writing is good but easy and accessible. While this is part of a series with interconnected characters, it also stands on it's on as a fun summer romp of a book.

I’ve read or listened to nearly every Elin Hilderbrand book so this came out of order for me. The storyline a sometimes hard to follow.. not because it twisted between present day and past, and been different perspectives in omniscient view, but I didn’t get the point of some of the stories… including the epilogue. I still love Elin’s novels - this just won’t be the one I suggest to friends.

good beach read. i would have liked a little more closure at the end but the story was told from an interesting perspective. all the characters talked about past and present.
