I started reading this for a bible study, but the leader quit so the group fell apart.
I will definitely try and read this again in the future.

Christian Beliefs is a condensed version of Wayne Grudem’s Systematic Theology and falls into many of the same pitfalls in that work. Whilst my theological understand has a significant amount of overlap with Grudem’s own, I consistently find myself struggling with his methodology, and the way he handles takes contrary to his own. Whilst this book doesn’t really make any bold statements, and I don’t disagree with many of his conclusions, I wish that he would have made his cases more soundly than he does here, or in his other works.

This book is just ok. It is a concise intro to theology that I’m sure will be helpful for many people, and therefore I would recommend it to certain people. While I agree with much of what Grudem says, there are times that I’m left scratching my head and not sure what to make of his explanations of certain positions (one being his definition of justification).

Grudem simply and concisely explains the core beliefs of the Christian faith taught in the bible. Every Christian should read this.
