The best Rizzoli & Isles book in a long time. I felt like the series had gotten very predictable, but this book was way different. I couldn't put it down!

In a word, WOW.
The Rizzoli & Isles books have been mentioned to me several times, but I never got around to reading them (too occupied with Highland romances ;D). However, this was lent to me recently by a friend who is their biggest fan, and I am so happy she did, and now a little upset I had not gotten into these books sooner!
On one hand, there were times when I was genuinely freaked out a little whilst reading, as many of the details as the story unfolded were very, very horrifying. Unsettling as it may have been, I was not able to put it down, and kept turning page after chilling page. This along with excellent writing and loads of suspenseful twists and turns, I cannot wait to read the others in the series!

I think it's next to impossible for Tess Gerritsen to write a bad book. Picking up one of her books you are guaranteed a wild ride, a sleepless night, an empty stomach and forgetting what your family looks like until that last page is turned.

Ice Cold does not disappoint. It has our old favorites Jane Rizzoli and Dr.Maura Isles. These characters for me are old friends and I always look forward to hanging out with them.

The beginning of the book may be a bit confusing but quickly the story takes off and all comes nicely together. It was nice to see a different side of Dr. Isles while her and her group were trapped in the deserted town of Kingdom Come. I enjoyed her interaction with "Rat" who was a lost boy that had grown up way before his time.

I found myself cringing, laughing, crying and rooting for Dr. Maura Isles with each turn of the page. I was yelling at Jane and Gabriel to hurry, hurry and holding my breath to see if they would get to her in time.

This is one great book. If you like suspense and thrillers filled with lots of action and great characters pick up Ice Cold, you won't regret it.

I have not read the series and completely understood this. I may or may not read more.

aka what happens when Dr. Maura Isles leaves Boston. While I didn't care much for the cult angle or the others she was stranded with, I felt Jane's pain in trying frantically to find her. I also really love Julian and Bear and am glad to see them maintain a role in the series.
