This one was a sweet instalove, hurt comfort romance. Both Levi and August were young and struggling in different ways. August is slightly older but is not in an any better financial situation then Levi, but he still reaches out to help Levi in every way he can. I could feel the honest emotional connection between them. It was beautiful to watch Levi trust August and learn to trust himself as well. It was angsty but hopeful and an easy quicker read with too really likable guys.

I had a chance to help Levi and August's story become the beautiful story their novella is. At its heart, Fighting for Freedom is the story of learning to fight for yourself, fight for your future, and fight for your life.

After spending years being physically harmed by his father, Levi has reached the end of his rope. He is timid, a shell of his former self, and afraid to come out and live his truth. The fear is ingrained in his soul. Until he meets August, whose protective soul calls out to Levi's broken & bruised spirit.

August teaches others to stand up for themselves. His class is slow-to-build, thanks to a useless coworker, but August perseveres. After watching his friend recover from an attack that they couldn't defend themself against, August has made it his life's mission to make sure nobody else suffers the same painful journey. When August meets Levi, his soul calling out to August's for help, he knows that he's met the one person who will push his boundaries at work and open his heart to love.

Fighting for Freedom!

Ohhh this was so good! It’s such a heartbreaking book. But I’m so happy everything turned out for the best!

August works at the Knockout Gym teaching self defense classes! When a man comes in looking beaten and lost he feels the need to help and protect him.

Levi is not safe at home. One day when he needs to get out of his home he finds his way the Knock out gym. And he decides he sees something he likes! So he goes back!

This book had me wanting revenge on some people! It was such a good book!

Fighting for Freedom by Joelle Lynne is the story of a young man with a troubling life and the self defense instructor who gives hime the courage to fight for his freedom. Fate intervenes to bring them together. Levi's running; from his fears, his dad, his life. August is right there in his path. His life is no picnic either. The two are drawn together and together they find support, freedom, and love.
It is a wonderful short story of redemption, self confidence, and leaning on one another. I really loved the way these men were brought together and found everything they needed in the other. A couple of beautifully steamy scenes, sweet romance, and support in the tough times make this book a must read.
Romance - ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This story was quite enjoyable. It’s a quick read being a novella. In this story we meet Levi and August.
August is 23 and a college graduate. He works at Knockout gym because his passion is teaching self self defense and is trying to get his classes off the ground.
Levi is 19 and lives under his abusive father’s thumb. During an altercation with his father, Levi takes off running to get faraway and ends at the gym August works at.
August instantly feels protective of Levi. He’s absolutely amazing. He helps Levi build the courage he needs to get out of a terrible home life.
Levi and August are so cute together. Levi is shy and sort of timid and August is protective and caring.
