What in the Mary Calmes was that ending?! The book was flowing along just fine - slightly angsty menage story with a satisfying relationship development despite the instalove component - and then it took a hard left into WTF territory when every "surprise" ending ever written made an appearance within about 5 pages. Took this one from a 3.5 stars to a 3 star read pretty quickly.

Not exactly my cup of tea. It wasn't the polyamorous relationship, the constantly switching perspectives, or the far too tidy "are we still talking about that?" ending.... no, it was the complete and utter lack of relationship building. A few googly eyes, a blowjob and all of a sudden WERE IN LOVE. Eyeroll.

Suspend a bit of belief and just run with it

This is a reasonable introduction to this series with three hot men, each with their own personal demons but the setting and the amount of drama thrown their way does need a pinch of salt.
Having said that, the first time the three of them are together is seriously raunchy and while there's a bit of insta love and a rather rapid conclusion with half the town having an about face so quick it's a surprise they didn't break their necks, this isn't a bad read.

Oh Lord, I did not like this one... Sad to say, this was quite the bore!

I love reading erotic novels, and this was a highly anticipated read for me, and my first M/M/M novel to read. But the total lack of credibility in 90% of the aspects within these pages really stopped me from getting into the story and annoyed me quite.

For example, Rhys hasn't even been 2 minutes inside Finn's car, and Finn is a total stranger, before he starts to flirt with the boy. In the middle of the countryside where a careless action like that can be more than risky. He just assumed that Finn swung that way, and wow, what a suprise, he does! And while Cal is threating Rhys and pushing him up against a truck, boom! Horny, and boom! So is Cal. Boom! Sexual tension between the two of them, who barely have known each other for three hours and are already more or less enemies.

And! Wow, the new veterinary is also gay, and he also expressed that casually in front of a stranger, a cowboy from a ranch in the middle of the country in Montana! He just assumed that they wouldn't give him Hell? Luckily for him, they were gay. But what if he'd said that to someone else?

I just think the most likely way of action from a gay man in the middle of a small town where homophobia is not to be unexpected would be a little more careful, at least in the start!

On the other hand, the sex was hot! The first sexual scene between Rhys and Finn was boiling hot, but then again. I couldn't escape the lack of credibility in the sexual scenes too. The warmups didn't seem to last long enough than they usually do, plus (this is something I've encountered in every gay erotic read of mine) there was no mention of they douched or not. If they didn't, what happened? Did they make it without a mess? Every single time? I doubt that, because after all, we all know what is down there. And that is something I feel the authors to this kind of books should pay more attention to.

Also, I would like to give Sloane credit for a beautiful and charming language from time to time. But the book as a whole was not an appealing read, the story was not original (it felt like a bad version of "Inherit The Sky" by Ariel Tachna, but with a polyamorous relationship) nor did it catch me and the romance and feelings between the three of them was yet another proof of the lack of credibility in this novel. At such a short time and in the most absurd scenarios they either scream at each other in anger or passionately declare their love for each other. Many of their reactions seemed overly dramatic and out of context to me.

This was not an amusing read for me, except for the sex which was the main reason I bought this book, and I strongly doubt I will continue to read the Finding-series.

(The 2 star rating for me says more "I didn't like it" than the 1 star rating, which for me is "I hated it". And it had some moments that weren't just as bad as the rest of it.)

I can't tell if my audiobook skipped entire paragraphs, or if this book legitimately jumps over some important descriptors. When big exciting things suddenly happen I had no idea what was happening.

This story is a bit on the simple side. Nothing too deep in terms of characters or world building. It feels like Kennedy didn't know anything about being a rancher because absolutely no details were included.

The focus is mainly on the three men and their attraction to each other, the homophobia in the town and how public sentiment seemed to turn on a dime once a second person came out. A bit wish-fullfill-y, but the book is short.

I really enjoyed this and I am coming to the conclusion that M/M/M is becoming one of my fav romances to read.

While I enjoyed this, there were a few things that I didn't really care for. Had some things been a little different, this could've easily been bumped up to a 4 star read. But a lot of those were personal preferences. I just felt like this was on the edge of 4 or 5 stars but it just fell flat.

SpoilerOne of the things I didn't really like was that it took THREE DAYS for Finn to come back to them after Cal and Rhys had confessed their love. I understand that Finn had felt betrayed because they lied to him (especially since Cal had been lying to him for a VERY long time), but I felt like even though they missed him and wanted him to come home, Cal and Rhys just like went on without him. I also felt like we didn't get enough of all three of them being together after they confessed their love to one another. That was probably because of the length of the book but I just wanted more!

This was definitely a solid read and I'm excited to read about some of the characters we met in this book in the next one!
