Things I liked:
  • Roark was so amazing. I loved his fierceness.
  • Alien babies are always cute so really enjoyed the moments with Noah
Things I didn’t like:
  • Much more emotional than I thought it was going to be.

I found the story entertaining and interesting. Natalie and Roark are matched through the Interstellar bride program and things are going well for them until there is an attack and they end up separated. Natalie is sent back to Earth in order to be kept safe and Roark is held captive for days until he can escape. Once he escapes and makes it back to his people he is looking for Natalie but by the time he shows up, Natalie has already given birth to his son due to the time distance between the two planets. They have some ground to make up and work to be done to figure out what happened and who orchestrated the attack. They have to figure out how to work past the distance that got put in between them and find their way forward.
The narrator did a good job with the story and bringing it to life.

With a title like this you’d expect something like the corniest and worst of the series, when it’s possibly the best? Like planning, secretive plots, concrete resolutions and relationship development that’s almost believable?

I have finally found a series to fill the void of Ruby Dixon's Ice Planet Barbarians and it's Grace Goodwin's Interstellar Brides Program!

I really enjoyed the instant connection Roark and Natalie had, and how Goodwin made the story's timeline work. I was totally intrigued with the way time wasn't linear and moved at different rates dependent on where you were. Very excited to delve into this series more.
