A gorgeous, real, heartwarming rom-com. Snuggle in and read all night.

I had little hopes for this book. I started it originally thinking it was just a book to read quickly as I’d had it for so long and just kept putting off reading it.
Well I’m glad I did! It was such a cute read and Florence might be one of my new favourite characters. She’s adorable and so relatable. I think reading her thoughts I felt like I was reading my diary but some of her decisions weren’t great (how did Rory not give her the ick sooner?! I would be out of there after the first time he shouted that god forsaken word).
Zach… he was dreamy, he’s the boy you don’t expect to fall for but you do anyway, he was always so kind to her and the present he gave her at the end was so heartfelt, I could only dream of that happening to me. I’m so glad she came to her senses and went to South America with him, such a beautiful love story! And to think they were complete opposites and co workers.
Overall I realised that sometimes love isn’t black and white and as Florence has found out maybe your type isn’t your type at all, I truly recommend this book and it’s a hidden gem - extremely predictable but so adorable anyway.
(Florence girl, Rory being a tory was BAD how did you not realise it’s a red flag…)

I liked this one. It was funny…it had a predictable but entertaining plot. Although I saw the end result coming…I enjoyed getting there. This book made me ugly cry. I won’t say why…but if a book can make you cry…then it must be good. I have never been disappointed by this author…I will read more from her.

This was exactly the sort of book I was looking for at the moment (coronavirus lockdown). It is silly and jolly and funny in places. I really liked the main character, Florence. I thought she was well rounded and interesting and I could imagine being friends with her.
The storyline was entirely predictable and the character of Rory seemed completely one dimensional, which was probably the point.
In short, this is the sort of book that you want to read on a plane, at the beach, or during a global pandemic! It’s silly and distracting and ultimately a pleasant way to pass a bit of time.
Thanks so much for my free copy in return for this review.

Audiobook. Light and sweet and funny. And I liked the second man being the man. About a girl who counts everything as a game of consequences who works in a bookshop and dates an aspiring politician.

Bit of a slow start, and Rory the Tory is heinous, but enjoyed the ending!

Wow, I hated this book. The characters were all awful (including the FMC and the character she ends up with) and the romance was very poorly developed. Worse, the author attempts to cover some political/social/mental health themes she really has no business touching with a 10 foot pole, and finds a way to mention Prince Harry at least 4 separate times (?). This book was so hateful to me that the night after I finished it, I had a dream in which I told someone how much I hated it.

The main character felt flat, the sex scenes — repulsive and absolutely unnecessary. All in all still ok, but you'll forget it in a blink of an eye.
And I just LOVE it (sarcasm mode on) when a freelance photographer and a bookshop manager with a modest salary suddenly have all the money in the world to spend several months in Buenos Aires. Why the fuck not, heh
