The second book in The Secret, Book, & Scone Society series is every bit as pleasing as the first book. Strong women, friendships, small businesses owned by women, and small town characters. The setting, and characters are all well developed. Each chapter starts with a literary quote. The main character is a woman who owns a bookshop and practices bibliography - recommending books frequently novels to help a store customer with a problem in their life. She !mentions a lot of books and authors, I've added to my to be read list!

Decent story, loved the characters, very cozy. Less fatphobia than the first installment.

Another solid cozy mystery. I listened to the audiobook. The narrator is fantastic.

A great light book that is perfect for a sunny afternoon, or to listen to while you take care of life tasks and want to escape for just a little bit. These women are not perfect, but they have heart and it is enjoyable to see them grow and learn to trust each other.

I enjoyed this second novel. I find Nora...almost rude at times though . I enjoy the secondary characters and the way the ladies interact with each other, like real people, they fuss or disagree but come back together like good friends do.
I will read more.
Spoiler
she gets short with her friends, or with Jed, and she hurts their feelings because what she is thinking about or preoccupied with is more important at the time and while she apologizes or tries to make up for it, I was super pissed at her when she hurt Jed's feelings at the Genie placeI will read more.

I loved the sequel to this series, and can’t wait for more! The conclusion was so satisfying, and I have grown even fonder of Nora and her friends. I can’t wait to read the next one!

This is the second book in the series. I wanted it to get better, but alas.... The "bad guys" are so over the top, they are not believable. The MCs were a little more relatable, Estella's character is a bit more chill with her sex appeal.
