Me gustó mucho la originalidad de la autora y cómo va evolucionando paulatinamente el odio de ambas protagonistas hacia los otros personajes. Se lee rapidísimo.

Had absolutely no idea what this book was about going in. Was delighted by the unfolding of the plot and the use of the horror genre to reinforce the message.
Sometimes the message was heavy handed and the horror elements taking a backseat, especially in the latter 2/3rds of the book, but this is the author's debut novel.
Overall a quick read with a lot of interesting themes.

Horror books translated into English are my new favorite genre. This generational revenge horror is so good I’ve never highlighted more sentences in my life.

This is a very interesting book and I really enjoyed it. This is a story of haunting and generational trauma. The writing is beautiful. There are lots of clues to put together and deciphering how relationships are connected.

Woodworm is one of my favorite books I've read this year. It is the story of cursed women living in a cursed house that keeps them locked away together for generations. I loved the way it reads like a dark fairytale but hits the guts with social commentary and universal truths. My Patreon members will get this full review on Monday

Such a great book!
In the beginning of the story, I couldn’t really tell what was going on nor how it would progress. Once the “format” of the story telling became apparent I got immediately hooked, specially by the one comment from the grandmother: don’t believe a word she is telling you.
Speaking directly to the reader in this way just took me a little by surprise.
I was very curious about the nature of the house, how it came to be and how it remained.
I am only sorry the book wasn’t longer as I would have been interested in seeing all the other possible stories.
I might read it in the original language as so much gets lost in translation and I just have a feeling this book has so so so much more to offer in the original tongue!
Highly recommend.
Thank you penquin randomhouse for the review copy!
