I always love a Jane Austen adaptation but at the end of the day, this one was just meh 🤷‍♀️ also if you told me this book was published in 2013, I’d believe you. MLM leggings and TARDIS earrings?? I would’ve ate that outfit up at 16

A modern retelling of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice which is set in the Hamptons (if you know, you know, if you don't well - it's mostly those rich and famous who come in to summer and leave at the end of the season).

Elizabeth of East Hampton is perfect summer read for those who love the classics, with a bit of modern touch. You have the famous Bennet clan, and Darcy, as well as other characters.

Be ready for a cute, fun bantered read that was seamlessly written to be 21st century era. Prepare to have all the emotions while you read as well.

Thank you NetGalley and Galley Books for my DRC.

A fun take on pride and prejudice. I love that Mrs Bennett is into MLMs, that just makes sense lol
I’m taking points off for the excessive use of the word saccharine

What a fun read! I still liked Emma of 83rd better, but this one delivered on all the big ways a modern rom-com retelling of Pride & Prejudice could. Loved the changes with Mary & Lydia's characters, but was really missing a Mr. Collins. His absurdity was really missing, I felt. And they shunted Charlotte's character to the side, which I missed too. I didn't love what they did with her storyline. On the whole? Def worth the read, even if you aren't a Pride & Prejudice fan. I moved past the blond Mr. Darcy and still really enjoyed watching Lizzy & Will fall in love.

This was such a fun and breezy retelling of Pride and Prejudice. Lizzy and Darcy had fantastic chemistry. I also loved catching the other Austen references in the book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy!
