I usually have troubles with novellas because they feel rushed or incomplete and I don't feel that way with Christmas in Love. I love how Cade and Natalie are relatable and genuine. The story is believable and her friend seems like a hoot.
Cade and Natalie are college sweathearts until, with no notice, Natalie breaks it off unexpectedly. Cade is left feeling but Natalie is unresponsive. When he nearly runs her over four years later, feelings come rushing back and he's determined to get answers.
I'm so excited for Karen's writing journey and that I get the chance to watch her from the beginning. I am looking forward to what she comes up with next and 2022's release can't come fast enough.
Thank you to the author for the advanced copy. All thoughts in this review are my own.

I honestly wish this novella was longer because it was a good read. Good Christmas vibes, cute family vibes, cute friend vibes and of course, adorable romance vibes. Besides who doesn't dream of dating a doctor one point in their lives? ( I did for like two seconds and realized it wouldn't work for me because I am too clingy)

So if you are new to Karen Thornell and are looking for a blissful read, Christmas in Love will be a perfect December read.

(I was given an ARC. All of what I put above is my own opinion.)

As much as I love a good regency romance these modern Christmas romcoms just get me!

I love Cade and Natalie! They really just work so well together. They’re so sweet and loving (once they work through the problems of course). The family dynamics from his family were hilarious and I just really enjoyed it!

An adorable and heart-warming Christmas novella, Christmas in Love chronicles the story of Cade and Natalie. Nearly four years after an almost-engagement, Cade and Natalie are thrown back together in the little town of Greenbank. Cade is coming to his parents’ retirement home in Greenbank for Christmas, the same town where Natalie is running a bed-and-breakfast. After unfortunate circumstances finds them spending more and more time together, secrets and hearts are being tugged at..
This was so cute! It is Ms. Thornell’s first book, and begins the series. Both Cade and Natalie have old hurts and feelings still in place. They were both wanting to see each other and at the same time trying to avoid one another. I felt bad for them both! I felt like I could really understand both of their perspectives. Btw it was really cool to see both of their POVs, I liked them both and their voices. I also enjoyed seeing how they helped each other.
Honestly, there really isn’t too much I didn’t like! It was cute and fun, kinda Hallmarky! I enjoy novellas, because they are quick stories that offer up the satisfaction of a book and an intro into the world. This is an intro novella and perfect for Christmas, it is a clean romance with an HEA!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review.

I don't usually read a Christmas book around the holidays, but I think I might make this a yearly tradition. I found it fun.

There was one aspect that bothered me... The reason for the original break up. Didn't she trust Cade at all? Seems they needed four years to mature a bit. Other than that, very cute and enjoyable.

Christmas in Love is a cute, quick Christmas read! It has the charm of a Hallmark movie, but deals well with difficult topics most Hallmark movies would steer away from. I was initially concerned the story would include insta-love because of how short it was, so that made it even better when I found out the two main characters had a romantic past!
I would recommend grabbing some hot cocoa and snuggling down by the Christmas tree to read this adorable novella!!
