Well-balanced stories for each character and well-woven stories. Great comeback after mild disappointment in 19th book.

This series has become real hit or miss here with the older books. I get so excited when a new one comes out. This one was okay. It didn't knock my socks off the way other books in this series have. But as a whole I still love the series and will be first in line for the next one.

I am so glad to see all the female characters back together ! This is a good choice for a light read; decent pace and engaging plots.

I like the 4 women in the Women's Murder Club, but it felt like none of them got the time they deserved in this novel. By trying include them all equally and give them all a story line, they all suffered. Claire gets massive news and yet is somehow well enough 2 weeks after to come drink at the bar. The other three get a better portion of time, yet it still feels rushed, and then Joe has a story squashed in as well. Patterson novels should be snappy and quick, but there needs to be enough substance as well, and there should have been more in this one.

This was the worst installment of the series. The main storyline was insteresting, but it could have been beefed up. The sub-plots where thin. It felt like I was reading three separate books at times. And there was no need for the Joe storyline. I usually enjoy WMC, but this time I had to force myself to finish the book.

Worst book I’ve finished in ages. The time I spent reading it was the 21st victim. It elides significant plot points and swaps between 1st person and 3rd person omniscient on a chapter by chapter basis.

On the plus side, the chapters are 2 pages long. So if you’re a lit junkie who just needs a fix before bed, it will at least keep you from getting the shakes

I needed an easy read and this book was perfect. I have been reading a LOT of heavy books during the pandemic so this fit the bill.

Honestly, it was an improvement on the last few books in the Women's Murder Club series. I enjoyed it and am eager to read the next book!!

Recommend, but read the other 19 books in the series, FIRST!!
