Absolutely lovely. I love Matt Haig's reflections and wisdom on "the messy miracle that is being alive". Get your highlighter or page markers ready. ❤️

Highly recommend when you can't sleep because your body hurts, it doesn't require much brain power and it's.. comforting.
I mean the audiobook of course.
Start listening 5 or 10 minutes after the beginning in case you just don't feel like staring a new book because it feels like a lot.

It feels inappropriate to rate and review something so personal. This one will be specific and individualistic for each reader.
For me this book proves that no one can go to therapy for you. When it comes to mental health you must do the work yourself.
While I appreciated mentions of philosophy and psychology throughout the book, the concepts feel like banners at the grocery store - appetizing but you don’t really know if it is for you until you do the work to cook it and eat it yourself.
Trigger warning is fairly obvious - there are mentions of mental health issues and suicidal ideation. However, because everyone experiences those things differently, even under the same clinical diagnosis, it is okay if parts of this are unrelatable or do not land.
Notably, I don’t think this is a good fit for people in the throes of grief. After they learn to survive it, maybe.
This should be read via the physical print version.
