If “You” and “Butcher & Blackbird” had a baby, you’d get There are No Saints 👏

Spicy? Yep! Romance? Yep! Definitely needed to check your trigger warnings before reading? Yep yep yep! Serial unalivers? Yep! Dark & twisted obsession and stalking? Yep! Cliffhanger needing me to read the second book of this duet immediately? Also yep! 😍

Who would you cast as Mara?
Who would you cast as Cole?
Who would you cast as Shaw?

Omg I didn't think I would enjoy this book so much, I've read dark romance before but this was a whole other level. It was amazing to see Cole grow with his feelings. And his obsession with Mara was amazingggggg!! I really recommend this if you can read about a little murder...

If you think this is a dark romance, it’s not. It’s not a love story.MMC is an undiagnosed sociopath. He doesn’t feel very many emotions and becomes obsessed with a girl that survived a murder, a girl that does make him lose control but not in a good way. Do not read this book and expect him to because the romantic type. Because it won’t happen. He is manipulative and controlling and will use force to get his way. He defines his own morals and right and wrong and doesn’t regret a damn thing. The FMC is the opposite she feels too strongly and doesn’t have control of anything but her art.

Please check trigger warnings before you read this. Lots of dark mental health themes and murder/eluding to rape too. You can tell that this was very much a way of letting go of some trauma for the author. And it may help other in accepting theirs and letting go too but please evaluate your mental state before diving into this book or the next one.

Okay so I read this in 2 days, but like wtf was that???? Everything was fine besides the consent issues, the rest of it was absolutely insane, but I kept reading regardless. It has illustrations and the text size of a YA, which is uncomfy given the book it is. Will I be reading the second one? Absolutely. Will I enjoy it? I don't know man. I'm not honestly sure if I enjoyed this one or not. I'm very conflicted. Also for a book such as this I was shocked they only did the actual deed once. There were several lines that had me laughing out loud or cringing, and I couldn't tell if I was supposed to be or not. Overall a strange and wild experience, read trigger warnings because there are countless.
