If you think this is a dark romance, it’s not. It’s not a love story.MMC is an undiagnosed sociopath. He doesn’t feel very many emotions and becomes obsessed with a girl that survived a murder, a girl that does make him lose control but not in a good way. Do not read this book and expect him to because the romantic type. Because it won’t happen. He is manipulative and controlling and will use force to get his way. He defines his own morals and right and wrong and doesn’t regret a damn thing. The FMC is the opposite she feels too strongly and doesn’t have control of anything but her art.
Please check trigger warnings before you read this. Lots of dark mental health themes and murder/eluding to rape too. You can tell that this was very much a way of letting go of some trauma for the author. And it may help other in accepting theirs and letting go too but please evaluate your mental state before diving into this book or the next one.
