I need more about the other girl. Hopefully she comes out with a book on her case. I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. I kept cleaning my house just to continue listening.

Everyone acted so unreasonably in this book I couldn’t enjoy it. I’m all for some far fetched scenes but this was just too much nonsense.

The premise: A scientist and reluctant psychic returns home after her mother's passing, and is drawn into a missing child investigation by a childhood sweetheart.

What is not to be hooked by?! I went into this one knowing it was either going to be cheesy and dull AF, or completely engrossing, and I'm quite happy to say it was the latter. The audiobook version flowed nicely, and the narrator did a wonderful job with the story. There were enough twists and turns that I was wowed and my interest held, while at the same time, not so many that it felt like a Spiderman meme of confusion.

I enjoyed the character building, and the flashback that helped the reader feel like they understood some of the decisions that were happening, although I'm not sure I enjoyed the sister drama/romance aspect. It felt a bit unnecessary to the story, which is why I'm going with 4 stars here instead of 5.

However, all that said - absolutely check this one out if you're lured by the premise. It's 100% worth your time.

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this but throughout I felt like it was trying to bite off a bit too much. All the different threads felt hastily tied together in the very end.

Such a unique thriller! Really enjoyed the main character and how she uses science and her psychic abilities to solve things. I feel like this is one of those books that won’t be for everyone (it’s kind of weird and quirky), but I loved it!

This story was good, but I didn’t love this author’s style of writing. I also hate the nickname “Vivvy”, they really couldn’t call her Viv? There was a lot happening through her life and I don’t feel like it was all explained, some of it just sort of tossed out there to make her seem even more eccentric even though she’s a scientist/psychic

This book was entertaining, and an easy listen in the end. At first the narrator seemed to have a very airy voice that wasn't going to fit Vivvy, but in the end, as more emotion was portrayed the fit was great. I found Vivvy somewhat annoying, especially all her side movements. There is lots of inner turmoil with Vivvy, but very little work on the original case she was brought in for. Parts were vaguely explained, seeming to leave the book open for a sequel, but I am not totally sure.

I want to thank Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for an advanced listening copy of this book.

What a unique story! Vivvy is a PhD astrophysicist and psychic. She is able to see things about people from objects so her police detective brother in law sometimes asks for her to touch/look at crime scene pictures or evidence to see if she can help their investigation. The town is investigating the cold case murder/disappearance of a young girl and Vivvy find herself directly in the crosshairs. Karissa Vacker is one of my fav narrators and she knocked this one out of the park!
*Thanks to MacMillan Audio and NetGalley for this audiobook review copy.
