I received the audio from BookMovement.com The story is incredibly compelling, filled with high tension that keeps readers engaged throughout. I particularly enjoyed the fascinating dichotomy between the psychic and scientific elements, which added an intriguing layer to the narrative. The exploration of the protagonist's struggle with both their past and the potential future further enhances the depth of the story. Additionally, the thrilling aspects of the plot make it an exceptional thriller that captivates the reader from start to finish.
Wow! I just couldn’t put this one down! This author caught me with Black-eyed Susans and has impressed me ever since. Kind of reminded me of the tv show Bones. This was a unique twist on a regular thriller with the psychic that I haven’t read any like before. Many thanks to the author for this copy for review

There's something distinctly odd about Julia Heaberlin's writing, like she's an alien doing an almost-perfect impression of a human.
But this isn't necessarily a bad thing; I also find her prose completely, inexplicably enthralling, even though her plots start disintegrating under close inspection.

Second book of hers that I read, idk why I read another when I equally disliked the first.
Characters are flat, I got 3 hours out of 11 into the book and I still had no idea what the main plot was supposed to be. One cop was a weirdo and the other was a literal creep. The MC was mostly confusing.

I’m beginning to think that Julia Heaberlin is the queen of gothic, atmospheric thrillers. Night Will Find You is a slow-burning psychological thriller that like Heaberlin’s other novels, takes place in Texas and tells the story of Vivian Bouchet, who is a bit of an enigma: one on hand, she’s a brilliant astrophysicist; on the other hand, she has inherited her mother’s psychic abilities and uses them to help the police solve cold cases. Following her mother’s death, Vivvy partners up with Jesse Shade, a skeptical detective, to try to find a girl who has been missing for eleven years.
The story is unique, and the characters are complex and keep you guessing whether people are who they appear to be. Heaberlin does a great job of grounding the mystical element of psychics which can be controversial by making Vivvy an astrophysicist who understands why people would be distrustful of her abilities. I am usually not a fan of mystical elements in novels but I found Vivvy's abilities to be realistic. Once podcast host Bubba Guns learns of Vivvy's involvement in the high-profile case of Lizzie Solomon, who disappeared from her own home never to be seen again, he starts to attack Vivvy on his popular show, which puts her and her family in danger. The exploration of conspiracy theories and how harmful they can be to individuals and to investigations, especially high-profile ones, was interesting and the inclusion of Joie, another incredibly intelligent female character, was fascinating. I found myself – like Vivvy – trying to figure out how Joie fit it and why she continued to work with the reprehensible and unauthentic Bubba Guns.
There is certainly a lot going on in this plot and I found that at times, it was challenging to follow all the twists and turns that pop up. Everything is wrapped up by the end (although I do think the “Blue Horse” was a bit anti-climactical) and had me thinking, what just happened? but in the best possible way. I expect Heaberlin fans and fans of dark thrillers will enjoy Night Will Find You.
