The Guy Next Door

This isn’t your typical girl/guy next door book. This is full of suspense and lust. The book grabs you by the arms and pulls you in. Is wild, fast and page turning! You will need be disappointed in this season.

Wait .. I liked this way more than I thought I would! If you want something light, to the point, and sprinkled with possessiveness and smut, then go ahead and pick this up. I'm excited to read the rest!

Bran Duvall... this man is my downfall.

I absolutely love these books and tear through them so fast whenever I read them.

I can't say I'm completely fond of Jessie but I know later on in the story I tend to like her a little better.

If you want a good vampire book be sure to check these out!!

I saw this was a series and I knew it was unfinished.
Why do I do this to myself?!

GAH I NEED MORE. IMMEDIATELY.

Hot Vampire Next Door is a novella that would fit right in with any mid-2000's vampire TV show. I definitely got Vampire Diaries and True Blood vibes as I was reading. This book is less than 150 pages, and nothing much happened in that span. You don't learn anything significant about the characters, and the only real plot point happens on the last page.

All that being said, it was fun. I read it in a couple of hours and enjoyed it. The love interest and the main character had some steamy moments, and I enjoyed their cliche banter. I'll probably pick up the second one when it comes out.

After reading ‘The Never King’, I thought I’d check this world out as well and I’m glad I did. It’s intriguing, humans living in what seems like a small town, alongside supernaturals. A really fun vibe off the bat, with the ‘hot vamp next door’ all dangerous and broody.

It went by really quickly and kept my attention, so I’m definitely in for at least 1 more in this series.

4 stars.

The narration was great—5 stars there.

This was such a fun world and I really liked the two main characters and how they interacted with each other. Definitely didn't realise this would leave me hanging (despite the fact that it literally says season one on the cover...) but I am eager to read more (as soon as I can log it on Goodreads).

I only picked this up because I needed a break from my current read.

It was short, well-written, and easy to read. It wasn’t as steamy as I expected, which was a huge shock. There was a plot and a cliffhanger, and I’m almost tempted to continue on with the series. However, the main character drove me nuts and I hated the love interest’s use of pet names.

This story won’t be one that sticks with me, but I’m not opposed to checking out this author’s other work!
