I love Welcome to Night Vale
I love the podcast and I love this world and these characters. It's fun to listen to the podcast while reading this.

It took me a bit to finish this beautiful book because I've been book hopping but oh man, I've been re-listening to season 1 now because of it!

It's a retelling of the verbal podcast, but it's still an entertaining read! You fall in love with Cecil and Carlos all over again, along with the other characters, and it's so fun to revisit the world of Night Vale in book form.
I would highly recommend if you're into the zany, occult, or just overall bizarre type of humor. Cecil is the best radio host I've ever listened to, and I freaking love this podcast already.

Alright, so here's the thing: I have never listened to the podcast. What happened was that I just happened to pick up the book, "Welcome to Night Vale" on whim and totally loved it. However, I have never gotten into podcasts nor does my commute force me to sit for a long period of time to listen to them. I discover that the script was made in book form and I absolutely understand that this show is meant to be listened to and experienced, I really did enjoy reading this immensely! It has all the quirky features without becoming overwhelming weird and enough strangeness for a conspiracy theory-loving desert town to seem, well... fairly typical!
If you are interested in the existence that is Night Vale and, like me, have found yourself unable to get around listening to the podcast, I would recommend either reading this for a direct script of the show OR kicking off with the novel, "Welcome to Night Vale." I believe either one of those will be a great introduction to the entire production and quite possibly will make you open that dang phone, get the podcast on there, and start listening... like I will tonight.

We understand the lights... But the sky behind those lights, mostly void, partially stars, that sky reminds us: We don’t understand even more.

Honestly, a written format of the Night Vale podcasts seemed pretty dull before I picked it up. They're definitely meant to be listened to, not to be read. But I found myself enjoying getting to relive every moment. There's also fantastic bonus content before each episode with a short dialogue from the creators and contributors. Interesting and fun all around. I can even hear Cecil's voice with the narration.
