Like most of Marian’s this took a while to get into but once in there it is so rewarding. Without Ashling this would just be a book about selfish people leading selfish lives; while Lisa does have some sort of revelation she is still not a pleasant character and the less said on Clodagh the better. With Ashling however it is a different kind of book with a satisfying ending.

What a fun read! Witty, very British, with great character development and clever dialogue --- this book was a delightful surprise!

I would have been very disappointed if there hadn't been scenes with sushi involved.
This was my first Keys and I chose it because of Dublin, carrier women and stand up comedy. Nice, light-hearted read since even the more serious themes were approached with a more comic manner rather than full-on drama.

It's just one of those entertaining airport novels. Like flipping through the channels and watching a reality show for an hour and then forgetting to TiVo the entire program, and then forgetting about it entirely.

I found Sushi for beginners, to be one of those books that although wasn't overally good, or anything like the type of book I normally read, once I started - I couldn't stop. Picked it up at a second hand book stalls on the streets of Bali and it got me through the plane ride home.

Parts of this book made me laugh out loud but a lot of it was dragging on quite a bit. It would not have hurt for this book to be 200 pages shorter.

Lisa finally gets the promotion she’s been waiting for…but it’s Dublin, Ireland…not NYC, where all the movers and shakers are. On the other hand, Ashling LOVES Dublin and her new job working for Lisa. As always with chick lit, there are several different men who add complication to the plot. LOTS of fun…as usual from Keyes.

Rating this book because for once I actually know what to say.

This booked bored me to tears half the time the other time I know I read the page but I have no idea what was supposed to be happening on the page.

I was the characters I can honestly say I hated every single one of them. Ashling was so annoying and reminded me of the typical Disney princess dressed in all pink type of character absolutely hated her. I felt Clodagh was a semi relatable character until like 300 pages into the story then she just became to unlikeable I felt nothing reading about her anymore infant I skipped over most of her part of the story. As for Lisa I liked Lisa from the beginning she was a headstrong determined character and everything she felt and why she felt the way she felt made sense. I actually would have wanted her and Jack to end up together. As for the ending what the hell type of ending was that?

It was funny and clever and a great story, but there was too much sex in it for me.
