The "Bones" books are fun, mindless reading and this one was no exception! :)

I dnf’d the last bones book bc I found it really boring, so I’m glad that this one was a return to form!

whilst no human beings actually speak to eachother like kathy reichs’ characters, and I wish tempe would settle down on judging the relative attractiveness of everyone she meets, reichs never fails to thrill and mystify

Some people read romance novels to relax I happen to like forensic mysteries. I've read the books before the show Bones came out and I love both of them. Each are different and at first I liked the book version of Tempe, but I'm so used to the Tempe/Booth arrangement that I think I like them in the show a little better. This one was on an organ snatching ring. Creepy stuff. I love the Tempe stories because all the forensic anthropology technical jargon is fascinating to me.

More like 2.5. I was interested for the most part, but there were pacing issues and it wasn't particularly engaging. Should have been 100 pages shorter.

Overall, I enjoyed this installment of the Bones series. The mystery was a good one, but took way too long to get to the action.

I prefer Kathy Reichs when she's setting her Bones mysteries in the South, rather than in Montreal -- and this is a perfect setting and a wonderful story.
