This book was a wonderful read, and I would suggest it to any leadership team, spiritual and/or corporate. With anecdotal evidence of the power of love, Bishop Curry does not shy away from discussing the depravity of systemic racism that encourages the need to exercise love.

A good reminder that love is the only way to make ever lasting change in the world. Addressing the different questions and challenges in loving unconditionally, this book was a welcoming read of uplift during difficult times.

This easy read calls us to a deeper understanding of love and particularly embodying that love in ways that address the challenges of our time, with particular focus on racism. I appreciate his approach and that it can be a not too challenging way of engaging difficult issues. I don't always agree with his views (about the "center" for instance), but value his gentle spirit and his commitment to the loving way of Jesus and of inclusion.

This is an excellent book by Presiding Bishop Curry, which he wrote last year. He is absolutely correct in his view that we need to have conversations with those with whom we disagree about the trajectory of our country. In light of the insurrection at the US Capitol though, this necessary task will prove very difficult, if not impossible, because it drastically deepened and widened the wedge that divides our country. I think most Americans will likely refuse to discuss anything with anyone who supports the rioters' objective, much less with the rioters themselves.

Bishop Curry’s style is authentic, caring, and draws you into the conversation. It felt like I was sitting down to have tea with him and talk about what was on his heart to share.

Bishop Curry has given us a gift of insight, wisdom and particularly hope to buoy us in an age where love seems more foreign than ever.

I received this book as thank-you-for-your-donation gift from Sojourners. Because I trust and appreciate the work of Sojourners immensely, and because, like the rest of the world, I loved Bishop Curry's Meghan/Harry wedding sermon, I read it. Frankly, based on the title and the cover, I entered in skeptically, expecting that it might be a bit too upbeat and optimistic for these dark times of death-dealing injustice. And if it was the only thing someone read, maybe it would be. But as an accompaniment to digging in hard with multiple voices and conversations, I found this book to be a much-needed refreshment of hope for this long and arduous journey to which we are called, as Christians and as members of the human family. Is being centered in Love ever a bad thing? I hope not. Curry shares with conviction, transparency, honesty and grace from his lived experience as a black man of faith in America; I'm so glad I read this book!

I first heard Bishop Curry at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meaghan Markle - and this book carries on themes in that address. It has a positive and uplifting message, melding the bishop’s personal story and journey with practical guidance. Read on to understand how love is the way to achieve true change, healing, and improvement in all our lives and for the earth.
