Fantastic - really really enjoyed this and am really hoping to get my hands on the second title, it's shaping up to be a highly entertaining trilogy.
I love the whole concept - a young girl who has the ability to travel through time thanks to genes passed down from her grandparents who are from the future. Rysa Walker has obviously put a great deal of thought and research into the whole time travel idea, and she explains everything really well.
A nice teenage love triangle and some seriously creepy bad guys - this is a definite recommend.
I received this as an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you.

Really fun book, I'll read the next one. Has character moments not just adventure / chaos of time travel. Nice to get your mind off of things.

My first time reading a time travel book and I liked it, not love. Somewhere in the middle I was losing interest. world building was part of it and that nothing much was happening.
When Kate finally time traveled I was getting excited. She was the richest person in that time, handing a quarter to a poor boy. lol that little boy was happy ended up following her around..
I wouldn't mind continuing the series, but it will be at the end of my list.

What a set up of a series!
This was a great opening for a series. Paced well, had a gripping plot, was romantic but not overly done. I am definitely picking up #2. A pleasant, easy read.

3.5 stars. I apparently bought this book in 2013 but waited until 10 years later to actually read it. Don’t ask me why now was suddenly the time but this was a free Kindle book and I’ve been burned by many a free Kindle book so that’s why it’s been sitting this long. Anyhow, it was better than I expected but also annoying. Kate is an illogical, inconsistent heroine. A brown belt in karate who spends more time being saved by others than using her skills to save anyone (though she theorizes about it a lot) and making bonehead choices. Also the instalove was a lot with not one but two dudes. It could have been about 50 pages shorter and cut out some of the repetitive build up to the actual time travel. But despite that, I could probably be convinced to read another with the hope that now that we‘ve got the backstory, the author can get straight to the action.

I wasn't sure I could get into this and then I really ended up liking it! It got a little confusing at times, but I powered through. Wish the next one was out!

Wow, I really enjoyed this book! (Evidence is that I read it in less than 24 hours) It was well-written, a quick read without feeling like fluff, and I loved loved loved the characters!
Kate is a normal teenager who has a gene that allows her to time travel with a CHRONOS medallion, and with the help of her grandmother, travels in time to try to reset the timeline that's been altered.
The whole time travel with altered time lines was very neat. On one hand, confusing, but even the characters find it that way. Obviously, small and large events are being changed at different points, and it's starting to add up. But it's interesting to see how one point may be righted but other things are still different.
The characters were great. Kate felt real and realistic to me. I really connected with her and felt she was well written. I'll have to say I liked Kiernan over Trey, but then, who doesn't love a tall, dark handsome Irishman who's in love with you?? But even side characters, like Connor and her father and mother, all seemed very realistic with their motives and quirks.
A couple of times I felt a little lost in the explanations. In the beginning, when Kate's grandmother is explaining everything, there was at least one point where I ended up lost. I re-read the sections/pages, but it almost seemed as if there was missing information, or the characters were supposing everyone knew a bit more about what was going on. A point later in the book in a conversation with Prudence left me in the same point of confusion. Not completely bewildered, but just felt like I had some missing gaps. But I gallantly pressed on, assuming it would all come together in the end (kind of like the characters did - surely all this alternate backwards/forwards will make sense eventually!). It did.
There are definitely ideas that need to be explored going forward, and a lot more time that needs to be corrected, so I can't wait for a sequel! The relationships between Kate and Trey and Kiernan are ones that I'm very excited to explore and see where it all goes.
Again, I thought this was a great, fun read and would highly recommend it.
