To be honest, I picked up, started, and put down this book probably three times before finally finishing. Maybe it was fear of the second novel not living up to the first or maybe it was because I had come to detest Leda Cole and because Eris was my favorite character from the first novel. But I’m so glad I finished! The Dazzling Heights did not disappoint one bit. In the same format of jumping from character to character in each chapter, McGee did the damn thing and wrote a great secondary novel. With introducing new player, Calliope, things get tricky pretty early on. You’ll fall in love with the same characters as before (minus Eris, RIP). Get ready for a *dazzling* read (yeah, I did it).

This one was probably better than the first one - it seemed to actually have some more plot and life to it. It wasn't bad, it was definitely not 'the best' book I've ever read. I think the premise and mystery is what kept me reading honestly.
