Graag gelezen.

This was a beautiful book. It made me laugh cry and jump with joy. I loved this book. It was so full of detail. So full of emotion. It was just SO lovely. Hannah was the best character in my opinion. Despite how little she had to say, she could show so much. This was a wonderful book and I would love to read it again.

The pieces fit together a bit too snug, but the structure really grounds the book and the story is so tender and heartbreaking.

This book is so beautiful that I almost feel the need to go and downgrade all of my other reads. I borrowed the audio book from the library and can completely understand why the performance won an award. The ability to create something so beautiful from a tragic story is such a skill and it will now be my go to gift for friends and colleagues. I have no idea why this doesn’t have a higher rating on this platform.

For a 400 page book, this was a remarkably quick read. I liked it, I thought that the story was told in an engaging way, but I did not feel I connected with it to the extent that it seems a lot of people did. If you're looking for fiction centered on the process of coping with loss, you could do much worse, but I also think that you could do much better.
