I like the series as a whole. It has been a while since an angel Story has captivated me as much. And I enjoy the plot twist at the end.
What I did not enjoy is that even after book 2 the love triangle is not even remotely settled. Sloan has not grown up very much as a character in this book, which - given the ending - is a bit annoying. But I still like her enough.

The second book in this series did not disappoint.

If you love all things supernatural and a love triangle go grab this series NOW!

Another great installment to this series.  Lots of action, magical elements, and romance.

And that cliffhanger ending!

3.5 I like it but I don't think it was as good as the first book. The love triangle seems a little over board and the plot was a little more jagged and didn't flow as well; still plan on reading the final book to wrap up the story.

While I felt that almost all loose ends were a bit too tidied up at the end of the first book, there was still the big issue of her biological parents. This book starts to answer those questions, but seems like it was an afterthought. Still really enjoyable, but not as good as the first book. I'm starting the final (I think the third book is the end) book now and hopefully will find it as awesome as the first one.

DNF. I didn’t realize it was one of those books with a never ending love triangle.

I liked it until

I liked the beginning of the book but it was kind of a drag. Not much happened and then all of a sudden everything happens within a chapter, it became slow and uneventful again with more love triangle crap and the SPOILER She's pregnant? There's no better way to kill a book than to give the main charter a baby. There's a reason they start a family in the last few chapters of the last book in any series, not in the middle. You're adventure dies, their freedom dies and it becomes nothing be a boring book about a baby and how much the mom with sacrifice. I guess we'll see what happens in the next book but I'm not expecting much.

Overall it was a good book. The progression of the story went well. The MC's character showed a lot more change. The backstory developed more and we were given a lot more insight into the characters.

PROS:
- Lot more information was given about the abilities, back stories, and why things progressed as they did.
- We met a lot of new characters that seemed intertwined and as the story progressed, the reasons came into focus.
- There was a lot of gray area when it came to 'good' and 'evil' characters.
- MC developed her abilities and was getting better at her powers.
- Shannon was treated badly but in the end Sloan did treat her a bit better.

CONS:
- The stupid love triangle continued. I still don't understand why Warren and Nathan both had to be in the picture at once.
- Poor Shannon! The author punishes the girl just because she's a bit more girly. Newsflash, getting nails done and enjoying the process doesn't make someone a bad person.
- The biggest bad was a woman (so typical)!
