I really liked the first book in this series. This one didn't quite keep it up for me. I felt like it got a little convoluted (a little like that in the end of the first book too). I know all the "coincidences" are often explained away (with the "summoning" power, etc) but still, too many things just happened to happen. I was good with the initial search for Rachel, setting up this storyline. Then when it shifted to tracking down the bad guy they just happened to run into. Now I realize, he's a bad guy, he's involved in gathering girls for the sex trade ... but still, he feels darker, more evil, then the serial killer who raped and murdered a dozen girls in book 1 (I know Sloan didn't originally "feel" him because she ran into him at the prison, where she was already feeling a ton of bad feelings, and I realize she had popped a Xanax, but to have this new guy almost knock her out completely ... it seemed inconsistent to me).

I enjoyed much of the banter ("Hi Kettle. This is Pit. You're Black" and "I envied the houses that were dark and untouched by the cruelty of morning"), but still some of the interactions felt forced. Not quite buying the threesome relationship between Sloan and the two guys.

Then the whole introduction of the angel angle ... interesting, but a little over the top (not even the usual "nephilim" as other books have addressed, but "Seremorta" and then the showdown at the end.

I think I'll continue on with the series (waiting until next month, borrowing for my Prime Pick from the Kindle Lending Library) and see how I feel another book in ...

This was a fun three books to read (Soul Summoner 1, 2, and 3). I loved the character development as well as the three main characters as people. I look forward to further releases as the story continues.

Oh. My. Damn. You guys. This book is everything!! I didn't even see the end coming there was so much story and action to keep me intrigued! The last line of the book was like a literal slap to the face and I can't wait to see more from this series, and this author!

Sloan, Nathan, and Warren are still up to craziness in this second installment of the series. It picks up about 3-4 weeks after book one ends. I loved how fluid it all felt, I felt like nothing was missing at all. I fell so hard for these characters and I ship Warren and Sloan so much!!

We get way more of the supernatural twist in this book, and finally some answers about who and what Sloan and Warren are... prepare yourself, lots of information and action to be had! I was on the edge of my seat!

I'm so over-whelmed and hungover after finishing... not even sure what else to say. Just go read the book people. It's worth it!

I enjoyed delving more into the world of Sloan. I liked the character development and the fact that we got answers.

I found the start of the book dragged a little, but the second half of the book was go go go.

I've just started the 3rd installment and cant wait to see how the story and the characters evolve.

Loved this book. Couldn't put it down. I really cannot wait for the next one. I have finally picked which guy I want her to be with. But I still like the other guy. It will be interesting to see how it all goes in the next book.

I was right. I am not enjoying the series as much as I could be because of the stupid love triangle. And there is no way to fix it because I like both guys. At the moment I sort of want her with Nathan but i suspect that if that happens I will be sad because I like her with Warren as well. I still like the characters and am interested in the story but I am not racing to read the next one because of the faint sense of dissatisfaction I am left with because of the romance angle.

Another great installment in the Sloan Jordan series! A fun read with memorable characters and a great plot twist that will have me back for Book 3!

Theoretically, the book should have been a blockbuster, finding out more about where they come from, solving a bigger mystery, all the points were there to make it a riveting read. Unfortunately the lead was a petulant child that despite being in a relationship with one guy couldnt get over the other one.

Sometimes the ingredients make a delicious dish, occasionally the same ingredients can make something lackluster. This was definitely on the lackluster side for me, with a heaping of annoying.
