I loved this book! Crosby and Nadia were so much fun. There were so many of my favorite tropes in this book: brother's best friend, friends to lovers, sports romance. I cannot recommend it enough! I am so excited for the rest of this series.

A cute and fun read in the Rules of Love series. Confession time. I actually read The Virgin Replay (Book 3) first. Ooops lol. Anyway ... I really liked Lauren's take on the dreaded Virgin Trope, which can oftentimes be downright cringeworthy. Instead, she has flipped it on its head. Gone is the innocent turned vixen from one moment to the next. Her female characters are powerful women who own their desires and aren't afraid to take matters into their own hands for the time being. They are just looking for the right guy.
I would also like to add that this was a quick romance BUT not an insta-love story. Crosby and Nadia have been friends since they were kids. Crosby was her brother's best friend. Sparks fly at her brother's wedding and Nadia lets Crosby in on a little secret. She is still a virgin and she wants him to be her first. What follows is a friends to lovers story that is sweet and funny between two people who own who they are and aren't afraid to be themselves.
Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon were amazing as always narrating this couple, the perfect casting for these two characters. I especially liked Teddy for Crosby who has a strong sense of humor. Erin was a delight as always and the perfect narrator for the very wealthy woman who owns and runs an NFL football team. It was the perfect light and fun read.

Five star narration
I really enjoyed this book. There was a moment or two that had me scratching my head and running to my girls to ask about their thoughts but overall it was a really enjoyable story that was sweet and easy to listen to. I loved that the conflict was minimal. It is one of those books that you can listen to in a day when you want something lighthearted to entertain you. The characters were made for one another and their banter was pure perfection.
The narration was spot on. Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton were perfectly cast for this audiobook. They really gave these characters life. The production was great with no issues.
There is a bonus epilogue for one of the characters, performed by James Joseph, and I think anyone that loves the British accent will be asking for more. It was a cute epilogue, and I’d have liked to have had a little more of Matthew’s story. Just because I find him intriguing and wanted more.
You also get a little taste of future books, and it was fun to hear what is coming next for the side characters that have their own stories coming soon.

Standard Lauren Blakely, which I mean in the best way! Low drama, great characters, hot sex.

I love a virgin Trope... No matter what anyone says... Lol And I especially appreciate a woman whose her own boss doing the damn thang... Nadia is trying to live her best life. Crosby is a sweet funny man who had some bad relationships experiences..
With Nadia and Crosby living in the same city now and both taking a break from dating things can only heat up.
My only problem with this book is at times I found the banter between Crosby and Nadia trying too hard to be witty and funny.
And the wedding scenes dragged on waaayyy to long.
The sex scenes were fire! ...High five to that...

This is a light sports romance book but I found it a little corny. I don't see that much chemistry aside from their flirty banters. I think I mostly skimmed some chapters and I don't understand why I didn't just DNF it especially since there's not much of a plot going on.

Brother’s best friend. Teach me how to fuck. Pro ball player and team owner.
Dead dads. Bad relationships. No body diversity. No baby in the epilogue, yay!
