Lauren Blakely has taken the trope of best friends sister and given it a fresh look and I’m here for it. She gives her characters so many real emotions that they simply jump off the page and become so much more.
Crosby and Nadia are friends, they have been friends forever, but in one night every thing changes. Timing is always important, but can they make their timing work?
This is a steamy story with true emotional intimacy that will connect you to this story and make you root for this a couple. This is a no brainer if you are looking for a romance with no real angsty drama and just a good story about two people who weren’t looking for love, but maybe love was looking for them.

the virgin rule book is a super cute brothers best friend, friends with benefits story. it follows nadia, a girl and the virgin the title focuses on, and crosby a superstar athlete who’s had rubbish luck with dating in the past
this book was fun from beginning to end and i was rooting for these two throughout! I really liked their banter and their chemistry was great!
the book did get a little slow for me and i felt like it was too long for what it was but overall and enjoyable read.

The Virgin Rule Book is a charming, low angst brother's best friend, friends-to-lovers romance filled with a ton of heart, witty dialogue and so much red hot chemistry. There is nothing accidental about how much I enjoyed this book.
Lauren Blakely continues to give us a couple that is very easy to root for. Nadia and Crosby are so perfect together. The connection between them is clear early in the story. Both successful in their fields - he's an all star baseball player, she's the owner of a football team - I love how they build each other up; Crosby especially. Him not being intimidated by her success nor her brilliance is so hot to me. I just loved them.
There is something about a Lauren Blakely friends to lovers romance that just makes my heart sing. Maybe it's because it feels genuine and real. You can feel how much these characters care for one another. It's a comfort for me.
If you're looking for a cute easy read that will give you all the giddy good vibes, you can't go wrong with The Virgin Rule Book.

The Virgin Rule Book is the first book in the Rules of Love series. It was had a strong-minded and sassy heroine and a superstitious hero with lucky socks. It was light, easy to read, and fast-paced. It combined brother’s best friend with the childhood friends to lovers trope. The characters were delightful, and I love how Crosby was not intimidated by Nadia’s self-confidence or money. He saw her for who she really was. They were best friends who valued each other and their friendship. They were afraid a romantic relationship would ruin their friendship but all it did was give them a good foundation for their love to grow on. I loved meeting all the side characters and hope to see them again in future books.
I received an ARC and am willingly leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book had absolutely delicious heat to it! Nadia and Crosby were childhood friends, which is one of my favorite tropes. Lauren Blakely did their story in such a unique way and everything felt fresh. I'm kinda meh on virgin stories but I love this author's mind so I took a chance on this one and I'm VERY glad I did. This book is one that I read quickly because I was engaged in finding out what happens from the start. I definitely recommend reading it.

The Virgin Rule Book (Rules of Love Book 1) by Lauren Blakely<
Narrated by Erin Mallon & Teddy Hamilton
Sports Romance. Can Stand Alone.
I’m not a huge sports romance fan, but I am certainly a Lauren Blakely fan. She never fails to deliver an entertaining story where I love all the characters, they are all smart, sexy and successful, and they have a great group of friends.
Nadia owns an NFL team, how cool is that? This came before Ted Lasso, so it was really nice to see a strong woman in charge of a sports team. She is also a virgin. Men are so intimidated by her that she just never found the right guy to give it up to. Honestly, I usually hate the virgin trope, but it worked here. She wasn’t immature at all, Nadia has had plenty of sexy times, she just never developed enough feelings to share that much of herself.
Crosby is Nadia’s brother’s best friend. He is a pro baseball player who has dated a bunch of crazies and has sworn off women.
"Are you checking out my butt?"
Nadia and Crosby always had a little thing for each other, but never went there. So when Nadia’s brother’s wedding came up, they decided to go together as friends. The flirting-but-not-flirting was so endearing, and I loved the way they developed from there.
The two embark on a fun fake dating relationship, being a plus one for events. I don’t usually like stories where the couple already knew and liked each other as much as others because there is no meet-cute, but of course, Lauren Blakely can change my mind any time.
I am going to forego my likes and dislikes here, because I just loved it all.
The Down & Dirty:
Once again Lauren delivered a low-angst, happy-making romance that is feminist, inclusive, smart, funny, sexy, and romantic. Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon were perfect actors for the characters (of course, what else do you expect from LB?), and I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
Rating: 4.25 Stars, 4.5 heat, 5 narration

Nadia owns a football team that she's moving back to San Francisco, Crosby is an all star baseball player who is bff's with her brother, but they've always been friends as well. Both are on dating hiatus's when they agree to be each others plus one for her brother's wedding.
Things go from regular friendship to naughty talking as the champagne flows and get more racy as the week passes.
This author always has feel good stories and sweetheart characters, they are great mood lifters.
