Nadia owns a football team. She’s wealthy and secure. So, why are men intimidated by the fact that she makes more than they do? Even a match-maker fails. She wants what her parents had, what her siblings have. But she hasn’t found anyone secure enough.

Crosby is a baseball player. He’s Nadias brothers best friend.. and he’s sworn off women. He’s made some bad relationship choices and needs to reset. He wants true love. What his parents had. He wants it all, but doesn’t trust himself, so he swears off women.

He and Nadia are friends, he’s known her… well, most of her life. They agree to be each other’s plus-one for her brother, his best friends, wedding. At the wedding, they talk and laugh and flirt…. And something changes between them….

This book is , in true Lauren Blakely form, fantastic! I love the characters. She I’d so good at writing characters who are real and interesting. The Virgin Rulebook is a great read. I recommend it highly. 5 stars from me!

It's been a hot minute since I've read some LB, and this was a perfect way to get back in. Lots of humor, steamy moments, and great characters. I am looking forward to the rest of this series since the side characters were also fantastic.

Friends to lovers is a trope that I love, and when 2 friends hook up as "buddies" for plus ones in their events, obviously something was bound to happen.

LB is usually a 4-star read for me, no question. Another great read here.

A slow burn, with Blakely's witty charm blended into this friends to lovers romance.

I will admit this was not my favorite Blakely book, it still held a lot of the elements I love reading in her books. The chemistry between Crosby and Nadia was off the charts, whether it was in or out of the bedroom this couple had it in spades. What didn't hold my specific attention was some of the in between moments spent with the secondary characters. It wasn't all of the time, but some of the time. I see great potential for spin offs, which is what I love about any secondary character, but this is just my opinion on this particular book.

Aside from that, I absolutely adored any time Nadia and Crosby were together. They were engaging, swoony, funny, all the things I love to see in Blakely's characters. While this was a slow burn to the final ignition, they lit the fuse early in how they got there and watching the final countdown was rather exciting.

Crosby has called off dating all women and even though Nadia has been a friend since they were early teens, he never really considered her as more. Perhaps its because he's always dated the wrong women and now that he's detoxing he's finally seeing her clearly. While he's on the wagon it seems like the wrong time to start anything with Nadia, but it may also be the most perfect time ever.

Nadia is taking a break trying to find a good man to date. She's never really had any luck...well ever. She's still fully intact of her V card, but now that Crosby is giving her all of the perfect signals, it could be the perfect time to finally punch that card.

A 4.5 star read overall for all of the steamy, friendship, and worthy moments that fill the pages.

The Virgin Rule Book
By: Lauren Blakely
Narrated by: Teddy Hamilton, Erin Mallon

Lauren Blakely had me at Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon! This combination was a winner from the start, and then I listened. A romance to sit back and enjoy, Blakely weaves her magic with Nadia and Crosby. Nadia, the sister of Crosby's best friend has always been around. Cute and funny, but always at a distance. Now at a wedding, the two are dancing and all bets are off. This friends to lovers romance is everything I love. Nadia is a high powered professional in football, and Crosby loves her for her it. Crosby is handsome baseball player with a playful side and Nadia is head over heels for him. Low drama, lots of passion and lots of witty banter had me in love with this couple. I can't wait to see what is coming up next in this new series!

Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon are amazing together. I love both of these narrators. Teddy always has me falling for the hero, and he fits into Crosby's personality with ease. Erin always has me laughing, and with Nadia, she is the perfect fit. As always, Blakely casts her story flawlessly.

Crosby (27) and Nadia (25)
Brother’s best friend, friends to lovers, friends with benefits, pro baseball player/billionaire football team owner.
Felt like this could’ve all just started when she and the team already moved to San Francisco.  There’s 58 unnecessary pages with that extra storyline. Even if you skip that “prequel”, the book itself is pretty slow and boring.  It’s a quick read but I don’t know if I’d recommend it.
The names Crosby, Nadia, and wild girl are not doing it for me.
6 or so spicy scenes that were not super spicy. 2🔥

Fun Friends to Lovers Romance

Fun, sassy and sexy describes this book! It was fun to see Nadia and Crosby flirt and tantalize each other and find themselves realizing they have true feelings for each other that began years ago.

Absolutely, love The Virgin Rule Book by Lauren Blakely. The NFL team owner and the Major League Baseball player are our heroine and hero, Nadia and Crosby. These two have been friends since they were kids growing up. Nadia’s brother Eric is Crosby’s best friend. This story is fun, sexy, and oh-so-HOT with banter between our characters as well as between-the-sheets.
So much to say and so hard to choose what to say without spoiling the whole story. Both Nadia and Crosby are super passionate in and out of the bedroom. They might “stumble” a bit when it comes to facing the truth about their feelings. Will Nadia and Crosby face their feelings head-on or just continue to be each other's “plus one”?
Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon do a fantastic job narrating Crosby and Nadia. I’ve heard them both before and just completely enjoy listening to them. They are smooth, enthusiastic, and just make the story come alive. They are so talented, the characters come alive for me in my mind. It’s like watching a movie play through my mind. Totally recommend this story in any format, paperback, ebook, and audio. Five stars*****

Lauren Blakely has taken the trope of best friends sister and given it a fresh look and I’m here for it. She gives her characters so many real emotions that they simply jump off the page and become so much more.

Crosby and Nadia are friends, they have been friends forever, but in one night every thing changes. Timing is always important, but can they make their timing work?

This is a steamy story with true emotional intimacy that will connect you to this story and make you root for this a couple. This is a no brainer if you are looking for a romance with no real angsty drama and just a good story about two people who weren’t looking for love, but maybe love was looking for them.
