Oh, all right. I'll stop being a cynic and say it made me happy and give it a five. It's not perfect, but it's wonderful(and awesome) and just what it needs to be.

Cute, and fun. This book made the rainy day better. I couldn't help but smile at all the small things I've taken for granted. The long stories behind some of the awesome thins were just great. One that stuck out
"Finally remembering a word that's been on the tip of your tongue for so long."

I guess this started as a blog. It should have stayed a blog. There was an awful trend many years ago in which popular blog authors were being signed to make their blogs into actual books. Only a few of those were successful. This is not successful. It fell so flat. After about 10 entries I got simultaneously bored and annoyed. And I knew that was it, I couldn't read another word. Had this stayed a blog I might have been a follower because it would have been just one entry a day. But all of them jammed into one book was way too much. And even typing this I am thinking one entry a day would have been too much. Maybe an "awesome entry" every other day or once a week.

The reason why Pasricha started his blog is a great way to work through life's disappointments but I'm not sure that this many years later he should have 8 books and numerous speaking engagements on his resume. I am positive he is a great guy but lots of people are great and have worked through life's disappointments in inspiring ways.

I really enjoyed this book! Neil Pasricha is funny, entertaining, nostalgic, and insightful in his writing. The Book of Awesome has a little bit of something for everyone!

Awesome. Either read it in as few sittings as possible or keep it on hand to pick up for a quick smile of appreciation over the years. The choice is yours. However you'll definitely find at least one or two things in "The Book of Awesome" that you agree to be Awesome.

I love the idea of the book and I can wholeheartedly get behind 95% of the list. The writing though...just so rah rah pep team saccharin. Apparently, I prefer a little more edge to my positivity.

Not even Morgan freeman reading this book would redeem it.
The writing is awful and the author should feel awful. How does this get published?
Every page ends with "AWESOME!" and it makes me think the writer is thirteen years old.
