So... I was thinking about giving it 4 or 5 and decided to go with 5.
The first book in this series I actually listened. My ears still burn at "Willow!" scream of Alex... And believe me, everytime Alex yelled "Willow!" in the second book, on paper, I still heard it.
Actually, I liked the second more than the first one.
I admit, I sometimes have jumped through lines when Raizel was narrator, but beside that, I got into the storyline at the moment.
We met some new characters, which are actually good. We get some serious fights. We get South Carolina moments (sorry to Cassie Clare for stealing her metaphor, but it's so great :)), but they could be described even more. I mean, if the kisses are so well described, then I have the feeling the writer wouldn't have trouble with other scenes... but on the other hand, I get it... It's still YA gender...
The ending is great. I'm really glad it went out as it did, because if there wouldn't be the last scene between Alex and Willow I would be nervous as hell :)
Well... See ya next year again, for the last time, I guess :)

It’s been three years since I read the first book in this trilogy, so although I remembered the basic storyline I knew little else about it. However it was easy to quickly get back into the swing of the story and it was very interesting to see where Weatherly has decided to take the story.
About half way through the book I got really fed up with the story and almost couldn’t be bothered with it. This was the point where
There were some parts of the plot that were really obvious as well.
The storyline itself though did have me hooked; it was just the annoying character interactions that irritated me.
I have a feeling that Raziel probably managed to escape and that he will return in the next book. I also think that Kara and Brendan will return in some way and that Wesley and Trish will be seen again despite their Angle Burn.
I was very tempted to give this book five stars, especially considering the great ending. However, the predictability in places, the irritating character interactions and development of a love triangle means that it loses a star.

Alex got incredibly jealous of Willow’s relationship with Seb and broke up with him. Alex soon realised his error but by that point Willow was worrying that she was causing Alex harm through Angel Burn and decided completely separate herself from him. There were some parts of the plot that were really obvious as well.
Spoiler
Alex had previously mentioned that he wondered whether being so close to so many angels exploding as they die was affecting him in any way. So the moment that Seb noticed that his aura was damaged and Willow assumed it was because of her I knew that it was going to be because he was an AK. There was also the scene where Raziel cut his hand on a glass. This seemed so out of place in the context of the rest of his appearances that I knew immediately that it would be important later in the story. Sure enough, not too further on in the story Willow felt as if she had cut her hand so much so that she could feel the glass and from that she discovered her link to Raziel and was able to remove it from herself and then exploit it within Raziel. The storyline itself though did have me hooked; it was just the annoying character interactions that irritated me.
Spoiler
The addition of the angelic council was interesting and I was actually surprised that they managed to kill all twelve of them fairly easily, taking down half of the angels on earth with them.I have a feeling that Raziel probably managed to escape and that he will return in the next book. I also think that Kara and Brendan will return in some way and that Wesley and Trish will be seen again despite their Angle Burn.

This book made me an emotional wreck especially near the end. Don't regret reading this series. I can't for the third book in the trilogy ^_^

Pretty solid follow up to the first, I had little patience for love triangle. It felt really unnecessary and super petty in light of everything else that was going on. Thankfully that seems to be wrapped up by the end of the book. Still interested to see where the story goes for book 3

Although I read this a long time ago, the adventures of Willow and Alex have stuck with me. I enjoyed this book so much. I only gave it three stars because there were aspects of the story I didn't enjoy, particularly the way they fell "in love" with each other so fast. It was pretty unrealistic and made me cringe on more then one occasion. Other then that, I enjoyed this book, though I haven't gotten around to reading the third, partly because I haven't ever seen it at the shops and partly because I don't really want to. Shocking. I usually finish reading everything, but I think I'll leave this series for a while.
This book was enjoyable though. I loved it, just not that much. The story is unique and the whole Angel + Angel Hunter relationship was actually pretty cool once they fell in love and whatnot. Alex was amazing. And I loved Willows strength.

I aboslutely adored this sequel to Angel Burn. Sometimes it can be nerve racking reading the follow-up novel to such a great first book, but it definitely delivered.
