Angel Fire by L.A. Weatherly
5.0
So... I was thinking about giving it 4 or 5 and decided to go with 5.
The first book in this series I actually listened. My ears still burn at "Willow!" scream of Alex... And believe me, everytime Alex yelled "Willow!" in the second book, on paper, I still heard it.
Actually, I liked the second more than the first one.
I admit, I sometimes have jumped through lines when Raizel was narrator, but beside that, I got into the storyline at the moment.
We met some new characters, which are actually good. We get some serious fights. We get South Carolina moments (sorry to Cassie Clare for stealing her metaphor, but it's so great :)), but they could be described even more. I mean, if the kisses are so well described, then I have the feeling the writer wouldn't have trouble with other scenes... but on the other hand, I get it... It's still YA gender...
The ending is great. I'm really glad it went out as it did, because if there wouldn't be the last scene between Alex and Willow I would be nervous as hell :)
Well... See ya next year again, for the last time, I guess :)
