This volume took a while for me to dig into. The gourmet just irked me a lot and his taste palette too. Though I have to say that I really really loved the moments given to further development to Nishiki Nishio's character. His past and his values. I like him a lot more than before. He almost seems more human now that we've seen him at his absolute worst.

This time I liked the artwork.
Nishiki's character development and backstory was done quite well. And his relationship with Kimi was beautiful.
Tsukiyama still wants to eat Kaneki. And I don't blame him for that.)
And we learned what Rize was doing before the incident.
The best part in this volume was Touka's bite. Kaneki let her to bite him for gaining strength. I am still fangirling over that scene.))

The battle with the gourmet is just as fun as it was in the anime. Love that touka was willing to help out kaneki and learn that not all humans think they're monsters.

Onto the next book!

Finally! Nishio js at the Anteiku (I totally forgot his backstory, so it was fascinating to reread)! Also: So many people were introduced that become important later in the story (Tokyo Ghoul:Re).
