Had to drag myself through this book. Just couldn't get into it at all. Marian is usually one of my favourite authors but I just didn't enjoy this.

This book managed to be very light-hearted while talking about a very topic. It was quick to read despite lots of introspection and a slow pace of the plot.
Graphic: Suicidal thoughts
Moderate: Suicide attempt

For the majority of the book it felt a bit like pulling teeth... but i couldn't give up i'm not the kind of person to leave a book unfinished. Make it to the last 100 pages & its finally worth it!! It wouldve gotten more stars if maybe it'd been a little shorter. All in all though I do love a good Marian Keyes book!

Another lovely read that covers a very deep and relatable topic (depression).
Marian Keyes has an amazing way of building suspense in a way that doesn't leave you feeling tired of the story. I've read the other books in the Walsh Family series and was glad to find one on Helen, the most peculiar of the Walsh sisters.
The ending was warm and there were many laughs, ooh's and aaah's, and gasps along the way.

I am really glad Marian is back! I have missed her voice in my head. I lover her. I loved it, like the characters her voice has matured and I just really enjoyed it.

Read it it English. The newest Keyes book is about the Welsh family, yay! It's about their youngest, Helen, who is a private investigator. All the other sisters have had their stories told in previous books.
Helen is in a difficult situation, she's lost her home and has to move back in with her parents. But she gets a new job from an ex of her, she has to locate a member of a band who is going to perform in a few days time. Helen tries to find Wayne and in the meantime her life situation reveals to the reader.
I love how Marian Keyes writes and uses the language. She usually has a serious subject in her books, but somehow she manages to keep it light without taking the seriousness out of it. This book was very un-put-downable, and the ending was a big surprise. This book left me smiling and wanting to read more!
