Narration 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
I’m so happy to be back in the Mate Games world! This is one of my most absolute favorite worlds to immerse myself in, and with narration cast and duet style, it makes the whole experience just next level. This is the first book in the fourth series in the Mate Games world and if this is your first experience, I highly recommend going back and starting with the War series. It’s not necessary, but definitely recommended as there are cameos from the previous characters that pop up and getting to know their personalities and relationship dynamics will really help.
As far as Sin goes, this was a great starter to the new series! It was a bit of a slower burn than the previous series, which I kinda like, especially for a series where the 4 horsemen are tasked to knock our girl Merri up before Lucifer does. And as a very powerful succubus, you think she’d be all about the spicy times, but due to some past trauma, she has written off physical intimacy so camming is how she feeds. I can’t wait to see how this series will evolve. I already have theories brewing and can’t wait to see if any of them are correct!

AAAAAAH THE LAST MATE GAMES SERIES IS FINALLY UPON US FRIENDS, AND THE STAKES ARE HIGHER THAN EVER!!
First thing's first, Operation PUFFIN. Yes. BIIIG YES. Possibly the funniest chapters in the book, and we got to see the other players as a cherry on top. The first two recording sessions, I didn't think we'd see more than a few total, but the third one really blew me away, my heart is full, I missed them all so much.
Second, SHANE EAST. The narrator who became my fav the moment I first listened to Meg Anne's solo books has a main role in this epic series??? To say I'm happy would be an understatement. He's the perfect addition to the Mate Games cast, so it's no wonder I've been favouring a certain character.
Third, Crombie. You already know I love him and he'll get a shoutout any time I see him. I love his dynamic with Lilith AND Sinclair. He'll never fail to make me laugh.
Ok now, the actual stars of the show, Merri and the infamous Horsemen of the Apocalypse!! I feel like I've been waiting to meet the four Horsemen forever and now that I have...I'm in love with all of them. Oopsie.
Am I jealous of Merri? Yes. Would I take her place in a heartbeat? Also yes.
The Horsemen are tasked not only with protecting Merri, but also with preventing someone else from sinking their claws into her. But you know, after those beach dreams, I wouldn't blame Merri if she fell for his charms.
Merri is such a great character to follow, because she's a succubus with a ravenous appetite, raised by auntie Lillith, who cams in order to feed. So what's gonna happen when she's stuck in a penthouse with her new "bodyguards" you ask? Chaos. Hah, I had to.
The tension was perfect, and the scenes where the Horsemen "helped" our dear girl to feed were simply delicious.
I said I love all four of them, but Grim is my fav, surprise surprise. I am also partial to Luc. Yes, look at me, falling for the bad guy (again). Even if Merri doesn't somehow end up with all five of them (or six, Cole, anyone?), I'm along for the ride.
Speaking of Cole, I do have ~ theories ~. I don't think he'd have as much interaction with Merri if he wasn't important, or someone we'll be introduced to later. Or maybe it's someone we already know? Either way, he's suuuper sweet, I'd love to see more of him. Also, I feel bad for him because at least twice, from what I remember, his private session with Merri was cut short. Let my man live!!
But other than that, I don't know which of the Horsemen is going to succeed in their "mission" and stop the Apocalypse, I can't predict it. Maybe it'll be all four, wouldn't that be something? They are supernaturals, after all.
Bonus points for Andi, who seems like a true gal pal, and that Cerberus cameo, I DIED, I WAS LITERALLY ON THE FLOOR, I wasn't expecting that. It's actually even funnier when you remember whose voice Sin was imitating that one time. Full circle moment.
The ending was obviously a cliffhanger, I am panicking as we speak. What a way to leave us hanging, you gotta love Kim and Meg.
Lastly (because I saw a few people read this book only), please go back to the first Mate Games book, and read the whole universe from the beginning. It's so much better to start there and have all the context rather than just jumping into this one.

Sin by Meg Anne and K. Loraine is a why choose paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stella Hunter, Jason Clarke, James Joseph, J.F. Harding, Shane East, Teddy Hamilton, and Christian Fox. This is the first book in The Mate Games: Apocalypse series.
I absolutely love the Mate Games World! Meg and Kim do an amazing job pulling me into the story. I am loving the chemistry between Merri, Grim, Sin, Malice, and Chaos. I loved that we got all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The book ended on an amazing cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in the series Chaos to be released on April 21, 2025.
I absolutely love that they do a full cast of narrators for this series. It just brings the story to life. I love all these narrators and can't wait to listen to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this series if you're looking for a paranormal romance, why choose romance, or fated mate's romance.

This is my first of The Mate Games books, I didn’t realize how many were in the series! There was enough background given that I wasn’t completely lost, but I advise everyone to read all the books prior so that you have a deeper understanding of this world and the nuances between all the characters. With that being said, I enjoyed this book! Having this full cast duet audiobook made it a fantastic listen! I was giggling, swooning, and definitely wanting to find out what happens next!
The four horsemen need to knock up Lucifer’s vessel before he does. She just so happens to be Mary, a succubus and Lilith’s niece. They ‘borrow’ Mary from where she has been staying with her Aunt. Mary is not only upset about it, but also concerned. Her Aunt’s place was also one where she could feed as a succubus without risking the life of another when she couldn’t cam. Now that she is with the horsemen, she relies solely on camming. Until she can’t. Lucifer is looking for her, sending minions to collect her. Because of the safety concerns, she has to stop camming, which makes for an interesting time for all of them.
The more I listened, the more I became invested in the story. Each of the horsemen became enthralled with Mary, much to their initial unenthusiastic resign. Well, except for Sin. He was all in for Mary from the get go! The story ends in a cliffy because this is only the first book in the last part of this series. It’s like a TV show that the last episode ends leaving you wanting more!
Oh the narration. Holy smokes is there fantastic amount of everything! Multiple accents, vlogs filled with extra sounds and hilarity, lust, banter, ogres, and just so much enjoyment from each and every narrator, and there are several! Jason Clarke, Stella Hunter, Shane East, JF Harding, James Joseph, with special appearances by Teddy Hamilton, Christian Fox, Laura Landa, John Hartley, and Aaron Sherlock. What a treat for the ears this is!

The apocalypse has started. Lucifer has been released, and slowly, his princes are arriving, too. In order to prevent the apocalypse, the vessel needs to stay away from Lucifer. Who needs to switch sides and save the world, The Four Horsemen. Will they be able to break through all of Merri's trauma and protect her from becoming Lucifer's. We have to wait and see. Be prepared. The book ends with a bang!
Audio: dual narration with a full cast! It truly does make the listening experience so much better!

Ok so let’s talk about series that change everything!!!!! I first read the mate games out of order with mate games Death and then started with War and Pestilence! The Mate Games universe became my Roman Empire I will tell ANYONE who will sit still long enough about why they need to read them which characters are my favorite…which Daddies 😏 I like and why Ben is the best! And how I want to get my nails and hair done with Remi and Moira!! So you know when this gem came out I had to read it right?
Let’s start here…a CELIBATE succubus! She is the VESSEL FOR LUCIFER!!!! Auntie Lilith (mother of all demons and Sex Goddess *my hero*) puts the Four Horseman in charge of her and tells them to knock her up 😳😳😳😳. Death won’t touch her, Pestilence won’t stop with the scowl, War asks like he might kill her, and Famine is a lost and hungry puppy when she is around!!!! The humor and heartbreak in this book is perfection!
Now let’s talk about the audiobook part!!! Listen to me now and listen to me good!!!! Get BOTH! The full cast duet is like a beautiful radio play and will have you dying laughing the performances are perfection!!!!

Oh holy hell. Talk about ending book 1 on a cliffhanger. Sin was everything I had hoped it to be and more. The audiobook cast was phenomenal, as per usual. I laughed out loud so many times. The chemistry between these narrators is amazing. They all really brought these characters to life
The book was paced so well. I did not feel like it was rushed or that it dragged on unnecessarily. The banter and spice was perfect. This is not a story that you can dive into without starting at the beginning of the world of The Mate Games.
Meg and Kim have this wonderful way of creating a world that sucks you in and makes you fall in love with these characters. The characters in this series are not supposed to be ones saving the world from the apocalypse, they were created to be the apocalypse. So when they are called upon to protect the one person who is to bring on the end of the world, will they be capable of protecting her ? Are they capable of love?
Being a why-choose romance, it can be difficult to ensure that each character gets enough page time for you to e able to develop a relationship with them. Meg and Kim are wonderful at ensuring all the characters are spot lighted so you feel connected to them all.
I have yet to read/listen to any book written by these ladies that I haven’t thoroughly loved, and Sin is no exception. I am eagerly anticipating book 2 Chaos

Get ready to dive into The Mate Games: Apocalypse, a wild paranormal rollercoaster starring a celibate recluse, an incubus rockstar, the OG shadow daddy, and a grumpy ex-Spartan, all strutting their stuff as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse!
Join Sin (famine), Chaos (war), Malice (pestilence), and Grim (death) on their mission to shield the fabulous succubus Merri from Lucifer and stop the world from going kaboom! At first, I had a bit of a brain freeze trying to remember their double identities, but once I got it, it was smooth sailing! This is just the first book in the Apocalypse series of the Mate Games saga, and I’m practically bouncing off the walls waiting for the next four!
I’m head over heels for Sin, Chaos, Mal, and Grim, and Merri! Each character has their own quirky vibe that meshes together a perfectly brewed potion.
Ready to lose yourself in an audiobook? Slap on those headphones because a stellar cast is about to rock your world! With voices like Stella Hunter, James Joseph, Shane East, J.F. Harding, Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, and Christian Fox, you’re in for an electrifying adventure right from the get-go!

This audiobook is like a party in your ears!
When I saw that this audiobook was paranormal and apocalyptic, with a full cast narrating in duet style, I ran! Often, when I see the word "apocalyptic," my mind immediately goes to places like dark, sad, and intense. While the ending was intense (that cliffy!), this book is not sad or really dark. It was fun, and sometimes so unserious! So, if you pick this book up, go in with those expectations, and you won't be disappointed.
Sin: The Mate Games is a new series spinoff from these authors series: The Mate Games. I did not read or listen to that series prior to listening to this audiobook, and while I believe that listening to those books prior to this one would have enhanced my listening experience, it didn't stop me from enjoying this audiobook. My favorite parts were the way that the vlogs were produced—it felt like graphic audio and I thought it was incredibly clever. I also loved the concept of a succubus heroine in a reverse harem with the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse. LIke,come on. A reverse harem with a succubus heroine is just a good idea, and I liked it.
This audiobook is fast-paced, and the narration is perfect. I loved each and every cast member.
If you're a sucker for reading order, I would suggest starting with Obsession.
Thank you, Must Love Audio, K. Loraine, and Meg Anne for the Advance Listening Copy of Sin: The Mate Games. All opinions are my own and I voluntarily left this review.
