This was a new to me author so I was really interested, enjoyed the story, and plan to go back to read the others. Rafe is the alpha who hasn’t found his mate yet and at times seeing his other pack members with their mates kind of made him want to find his yet also he was ok with not finding her yet. He was strong, smart, exactly what an alpha should be so when Adele comes to him looking for a job until she can get her bakery back running he feels something towards her but he refuses to acknowledge it. Adele is a strong willed, hardworking woman who isn’t afraid to go after what she wants or tell it like it is. Rafe and Adele butt heads a lot because they were both so stubborn but knew what they wanted even if they ignored their attraction to each other. The book was a lot of them going back and forth fighting their feelings until they just can’t anymore. The mystery surrounding them both was intriguing yet at some point it was a tad confusing and left me with some questions that maybe the next book will answer. Overall a good read and I will continue to read more.

This is book 3 in the latest series from these authors and while it can strictly be read as a standalone, it does help if you're at least familiar with events in the previous books. I liked this couple. I felt that the dynamic between them, with both of them being the alpha in their groups, made for interesting reading. Perhaps because of this, though, it did take a while for the story to heat up. That didn't really bother me since the timeline for it worked well, but it seemed a bit out of proportion for the size of the book. Also, the story didn't seem to flow as well as it could have. There were a lot of points that could have become plotlines but ended up not really going anywhere, or were really simplistically resolved.
However, there was a massive unresolved plot which is obviously going towards the next book and I can't wait to read it.

Finally ... I've been waiting from Rafe's story since I started this series. It didn't disappoint!

Rafe has a LOT of emotional scars from his parents death at such a young age, and is definitely feeling the pressures of keeping his Pack safe. Especially with the addition of 2 human mates, and a cub on the way. He cannot take a mate .... but is finding it impossible to stay away from Adele.

Adele, on the other hand is extremely Alpha herself, and does NOT need a man, but is totally crushing on Rafe. Finding herself in need of a job, she decides to ask Rafe for a job. Their relationship hits the throttle, now that they're in close proximity of each other.

I have to say, Rafe really irritated me at times with his hot/cold reactions to Adele. She's extremely forgiving/understanding in this book.

We get to find out more about the mysterious Gabriel D the team has been tracking ... and I cannot wait to find out where the next book is going to take us.

Rafe and Adele’s story, aka 2 control freaks battle against their own feelings for each other, the shifter edition. I’m still a bit meh about this spin-off series, which is disappointing because I *loved* the Bad Boys Alpha series. With this book I didn’t love the “we can’t be together because of reasons” as the main hurdle, but it was still very readable and there were parts I really liked.

But, I am looking forward to Tabitha’s book! I have high hopes for the next book, and I liked how it was set up in this one. 🤞

The Shifter Ops Crew is back with an alpha hero and super feisty heroine. I always love Lee Savino and Renee Rose’s take on the shifter world- this dynamic duo always writes the perfect alpha dominant, and paired with their perfect marriage of paranormal tropes and romantic suspense, these books are always a lot of fun.

I enjoyed Rafe and Adele’s story- as usual, Renee and Lee deliver a fast-faced, steamy, action packed story that is an easy one sit binge. The chemistry is extra feisty in this one, and I love the ops packs dynamics. Alpha Rafe is definitely a sexy, broody hero- at first hesitant to claim his mate, but he still has all the growly alpha caveman possession, and his feelings show up just when it matters. And Adele is a fun, sassy heroine- strong willed, obstinate, but, of course, very human- a mate dynamic Rafe never considered for himself.

Overall, their story is fun, but not my favorite of the series- Rafe’s resistance was frustrating at first, but when he unleashed his possession I was all about it. And Adele is an amazing heroine, I wish we just knew more about her and she was more developed as a character. Outsider of her fiery personality and her love for cooking from her grandma, we didn’t know much about her identity or background. But I loved what we got from her- I appreciated how she was strong willed but not idiotically “let me run into danger” stubborn. The plot was engaging and quick, though it felt a bit less steamy and slower than I’ve come to expect from these two authors- their sizzle meter is normally through the roof- but even so, it’s plenty sexy. Our coupling took a bit longer to “click’ for me- perhaps because their initial civility turns acrimonious for a bit.

We have a secondary plot that I have a lot of questions about - there were some unusual things that perhaps were more of a set up for the next book, but either way, I found the mysterious Dieter intriguing, and i’m looking forward to his book!

So Good!!

I loved the third installment of the series so much better than the first two. The MFC was witty and didn't fall head over heels for the MMC like the other two did.
Overall, best book of the series so far, and I can't wait to read the fourth when it finally comes out!

Rafe really likes Adele, and he’s definitely caught her eye as well. When Adele’s bakery business partner uses their funds for gambling debts, Rafe is willing to hire her as a cook until she gets on her feet. But he’s the leader of his shifter wolf pack of undercover operatives, so a relationship is out of the question, right? Any good romance reader knows the answer to that!

I liked the way that Rafe and Adele couldn’t resist their mutual attraction, and I truly liked that Adele is as much an alpha, even as a human, as Rafe is as a shifter. There’s a threat not only to Rafe’s group but to Adele from the mysterious Gabriel Dieter that drives the action in Alpha’s Revenge. Dieter as a character is greatly expanded in this book, which helps make him much more interesting than previous allusions to him.

Adele has a strong set of personal principles, and seeing her stick to them and challenge Rafe was one of more enjoyable aspects of Alpha’s Revenge. Rafe was a bit more difficult for me to parse. After two of his pack members had found their mates, I found his resistance to Adele to be a bit odd, particularly because of Rose and Savino’s concept that if shifters don’t mate, they eventually go “moon mad.” You’d think Rafe could see how his friends and pack mates were handling this and go along with that. Instead, he fights his pull to mate Adele for much of Alpha’s Revenge.

Still this book is a great deal of fun to read and a worthy addition to Rose and Savino’s Shifter Ops series. They also do a great job setting up the next book, which looks like it’s going to focus on a very interesting and different type of shifter!

This is definitely a touch her and die kindof book.
It was provided to me as an ARC, and it was really good.
Now, i would totally recommend to read this series. You could totally ready it as a standalone, but to have a better understanding and for reader's pleasure, you should ready the other 2 books first.

This is an interracial affair. Two alphas, one human, another one supernatural.
Rafe is the alpha of his pack, he fought for his rules but seem to have them tear down. His brother and friend, both got mates but he is reluctant to have one. He sees them as weaknesses.
Adele is a strong independent woman, who was targeted and wronged by men in her life, so she is adamant to work towards opening her chocolatier again and rebuild her empire. But she needs a job, and it looks like the only place in town to work, is near Rafe who she seems to hate.

Both characters are pretty strong, and honestly that was refreshing to read about. The heroine makes mistakes and puts herself in danger, as they all usually do **eye roll** but in this case, i can totally fault Rafe for withhelding important information.
They are both head strong and really need control, but when they come together, its pretty cool to see. Rafe is protective, and Adele is too. She will fight anyone to protect who she loves.

Now their love was fast paced, their chemistry was there. And the drama continued on, which i can say im pretty excited to read.

Tropes: Werewolf, alpha characters. Grumpy/Sunshine. Alpha protector. Heroine in danger (was she really though)

Romance: 3/5
Spicy: 3/5!!!
