What a novel!! Pechorin is the most obnoxious misogynist know-it-all! See what he does to his friend too! It's however nice to hear all his insights into his obnoxious state, since he is well aware of it. And it's fun for the setting, and the time-period. How much of the author's real personality is expressed in Pechorin, I wonder!
