The lessons, the tone, the stories. Wonderful read. Evy makes you feel hopeful about life by giving tools for protecting yourself and the ones you love.

Self-help with some interesting tidbits of street smarts and anecdotes from a former Secret Service agent. Fearlessness.

Very interesting book. I like how unique the information seemed, but it was too long. I am going to incorporate some things.

Loved the first half of this book. The second half wasn’t super relevant to my life as an average human, but it was still interesting. I loved the stories of the presidents at the end.

Some great advice in this book. I'm going to have to go back and read specific sections and try out some of the things Evy talks about.

Audiobook - a solid 3 stars. I was expecting more memoir, less self help. I liked how the author explained how she learned from each lesson or used them in her day to day. Some of the self help lessons were a bit common sense and some were borderline paranoia (in my opinion). I have a habit of making sure I sit facing a door in a restaurant or checking for my exits in a movie theater/store. Other things like watching body language for possible lying was a bit of a reach for me. An interesting listen - not sure if I’d recommend.
