I HATE the alpha female thing, that is not a cute nickname
I needed more Cinder and Kai their povs where the best ones, and I’m excited to see Thorne in Cress

I think I just really didn't like Scarlet and Wolf at all but I still appreciated how their storyline connects with Cinder's

FANTASY, SCIENCE FICTION, ROMANCE, RETELLINGS, FAIRYTALES
This is the second book of the Lunar Chronicles.
In this book we see the return of Cinder as she is trying to outrun the Lunar government seeking to kill her. She is grappling with her identity and coming to see who she is while having to deal with a new sidekick, Thorne. At least he has a functioning spaceship that can help her locate the woman who may have answers to the questions Cinder has about how she was able to escape Luna.
Scarlet is eighteen and trying to hold the family business together. After her grandmother goes missing and her father remains MIA, Scarlet isn't sure what to do. Her grandmother after all has been deemed crazy by the whole city. When Scarlet meets Wolf, a rough and mysterious street fighter, Scarlet realizes that her grandmother is in mortal danger. Exposed to lies and hurt, Scarlet has to decide how she can help her grandmother and Wolf. Because it seems that there is more to Wolf than Scarlet ever realized.
I was really hesitant in continuing this series knowing that each sequential book focuses on a new story line, but I was not disappointed. We see the return of Cinder and Iko who continue to have progressing story lines. We meet new characters who we can't help but like, and we move deeper into the plot of how will Cinder help Emperor Kai refuse the Lunar Queen before she kills everyone who stands in her way.

This was an awesome sequel. I might have even liked it more than the first one. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Couldn't finish because it was due. Also feel like I should re read the first book.

Loved this one even more than Cinder, and I LOVED Cinder! Seriously though, I don’t know why I waited so long to read this one. It may have been because I was a bit worried about the Little Red Riding Hood re-telling. The ones I have read in the past I have not enjoyed, but this one was just amazing.
There are four perspectives being told in this book and that did make me hesitant at first. But the story just flowed so well, and it didn’t feel like the character changes were too abrupt or disconnected. In fact the entire story arc of this book and this series so far is incredible. It is so well intertwined and woven together perfectly and the incorporation of the fairy tale twists fits into the story so naturally. But at the same time these characters are their own identities, they have very different, head strong personalities and they are all so bad ass.
I was so happy that we still got to see a lot of Cinder in this book, she is my favorite<3 Omg and her friendship with Thorne was the best. I loved how they bickered and argued all the time. They obviously had a mutual reason to stick together but the loyalties that developed from that just made me so happy. And I did enjoy getting to know Scarlet in this book. She is such a feisty girl and I liked how she never gave up in her goal of finding her Grandmother. Also, Scarlet and Wolf<3 Just saying.
I don’t know how Marissa Meyer does it! But this series is definitely one of my favorites and I strongly recommend it if you haven’t picked it up yet.
