When the majority of review are 1 and 2 stars, I don't care how much you like to form your own opinion. Heed the warning!!!

I was completely and utterly bored the entire book. Rachel is a complete teen worrying about everything that no one cares about. Her sister Sarah is more interesting and she's only in two scenes. Then Rachel gets on a bike with a random guy driving by, in a city she's only been in a week. I'm trying to figure out if I want to continue to the torture that I assume comes with book 2.

High rating is because I was drawn in by the cover. :)

I really don't like writing bad reviews...

Anyway, Sworn was one of my "ooh it's free, let see if it's a good read". Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the book, the story line didn't really stay on track for me. I like to have a guess at the plot but I thought this book was a typical "half book", I haven't read the second book as of yet but I'm sure if they were put together to make 1 book it might seen less jumpy and maybe more in tune. There was just too much going on in so little time, plus I thought maybe some of the "scenes" could have been extended and written more in depth.

I didn't understand why the book finished where it finished...? We know the book will have something to do with Vampires ( it's in the title)but it was literally the last 1/4 of the book until we have any interaction with any paranormal being. I just didn't understand the format.

An interesting idea but the writing style took away from the enjoyment of the book.

sorry i really could not get into this story, I chose to read it because I loved the cover but there were to many refrences to brands, the story took too long to unfold, it is about vampires but the plot was mainly about Rachel but did not go anywhere. I am sorry but this book was not for me I spent the first half waiting for something to happen, then spent the second half only reading a few sentences on each page and still didn't miss anything.

Wow. I don't even know what to say. This was quite seriously, the worst book I have ever read. And I read a lot.

I don't even know where to start with this one. I actually stopped reading it about 3 chapters in, but then couldn't resist checking back to see if it was really as awful as I was remembering. It was worse. I can't believe I finished it.

Honestly, the main reason I did finish it is that there are a limited number of free books on iBooks (this being one, obviously) and iBooks is the only ebook platform I can discreetly use on slow days at work.

The book might (and that's a really big might) be readable with some decent (or any?) editing, but really, the story is bad enough that I don't even think that the best editor in the world could save it. It's like a horrible mash-up between the worst after-school special you've ever seen, Twilight, The Vampire Diaries and a 12-year-old's diary.

This is definitely all the high school drama and worries you never wanted. I didn't really enjoy that aspect. The need to fit in to the point of dangerous and stupid activities? Haven't we gotten past that at this point? Also, this is supposed to be about vampires, right? Very little to no vampire activity in this book. I was never a fan of Twilight, but I was expecting a book in a series labeled Vampire Legends, would have some more vampires besides the last...ten percent?

So, a third of the way through it and I'm like where are ANY vampires??? If I have to listen to this girl whine about her life for one more chapter, seriously! No plot, one whiney character...no thanks!

I just started this book and I am not sure if I will make it the whole way through. I swear the author was paid for all of the product placement. Why else would there be so many? It reminds me of Josie and the Pussycats movie, though they were kind of making fun of it, and this is now. I am only a few pages in and every sentence has what exact brand and item. One paragraph had 5 items named by brand. Really? It is VERY annoying. Maybe once and a while an author will point out exactly what brand something is, but this is just getting ridiculous. So now everything is super specific, but a few paragraphs before it was just "the mall in Pennsylvania" as there is only one in the entire state and such like that. So go from incredibly vague to incredibly specific in a few pages. I hope it goes back to vague....that is much easier to read.....

Now that I have finished the book...well it didn't get better. The product placement got toned down, but it really annoyed me how they used the city in New York where they live, but everything from her old town is just "x in Pennsylvania" like the author couldn't find a city/town/whatever to use, or a high school name or anything. It just annoyed me. The other issues - well I just thought the writing in general was horrible, the characters...well I didn't like anyone. I know you want friends, but seriously stick up for yourself! If they don't like you because you are uncomfortable doing something they are not really friends. Then Benji...well he shows up when the book is almost over and I can get behind love at first sight, but at least give him some kind of personality. I mean it was just weird, she had 3 interactions with him and in each one her was...just lame. Not interesting or mysterious or intriguing, just boring. Oh it was sooo bad.
